Red songs flew out of the soldier's house
Chen Liyuan's grandfather was an old Red Army man who had fought in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation through hundreds of battles. For following Marshal Chen Yi from the Yimeng Mountains in Shandong Province to fight in the Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province, it also made the city of Lu'an in the Dabie Mountains, which eventually became Chen Liyuan's hometown.
Chen Liyuan, who often listened to her grandfather sing "I am a Soldier" in his arms, grew up loving red songs.
Because as a child she was naive and lively and loved to sing and dance, she often stood in front of her house and sang, and was discovered by people passing by, who suggested that she learn music and take part in competitions. at the age of 14, she was just in time for a singing competition organized by the children's section of the hit Anhui TV show "Super Winner". With the mindset of casting stones, little Liyuan as a challenger signed up to participate in the competition, the first game to become the ringmaster. When she appeared on the stage, the host and judges were stunned by her cool look and affectionately called her "Little Song Zuying". From "High Slope of Loess", "Basket of Flowers", "Ode to Sister-in-Law", "Shadow of the Fence Wall", "My Fervent Hometown" to the difficult songs "Tibetan Plateau", "Journey to the Heaven of Faith", "Source of the Yellow River", etc., Chen Liyuan made her way through the competition as if she were God's help, and with her singing talent, guts and dominance, she continuously passed the fifteen hurdles and became the annual champion of the program in 2002, and became the first person to pass fifteen consecutive levels since the program was started. The first contestant to pass fifteen consecutive hurdles since the start of the program caused a sensation in Anhui Province, revealing his excellent musical talent.
Since then, Chen Liyuan has planted the seed of music in her heart and has been working tirelessly towards this dream.
Mistakenly applying for a major, she was unable to find a teacher
At the age of 14, she was admitted to the Anhui Provincial Academy of Fine Arts. Just when she was so happy to start her dream journey, fate played a joke on her. Due to her young age at the time of application and her family's lack of understanding of music, she mistakenly enrolled in the mass culture and art program without a professional voice course, which meant that there was no piano room and no professional teacher. In this case, Chen Liyuan thought of worshipping a teacher herself. However, because she was the winner of the Anhui Province's "Super Winner" TV singing competition, and is already a well-known singer in the region, many professional teachers are afraid to take her as a disciple, taking into account her lack of ability, "for fear of bringing her down".
Valuable people to help the lucky hard to go forward
16 years old, in Anhui TV program, she took the initiative to find another program guests - music educator Jin Tielin teacher. At that time, after listening to her singing, Prof. Jin appreciated her talent and immediately recommended Chen Liyuan to study with Cao Yuping, Zhang Yan's inspirational teacher, through the young singer Zhang Yan, with the message, "You can come to me in two years."
After getting professional training, Chen Liyuan's vocal level improved significantly. With a verbal promise, she traveled to Beijing a few years later and found Professor Jin Tielin. Understanding Chen Liyuan's unique situation, Prof. Jin gave her many small lessons, but never charged her tuition.
Chen Liyuan studied, looked for a job, and participated in competitions, and her results were quite impressive, including the one she was most proud of, which was winning the Gold Medal for Ethnic Singing in the Anhui Region of the 2006 Youth Song Contest.
