Synopsis
In a Rhode Island high school in 1985, two students - Ted Stromaine, a man who looks destined for success, whose metal-encrusted teeth gleam so brightly that even the Man in the Iron Mask would be intimidated to see him; and Mary Jensen, blonde, blue-eyed, and radiant. The Man in the Iron Mask is intimidated by him; Mary Jensen is blonde, blue-eyed, radiant, and a dreamboat for the boys of the school. It's hard to imagine that these two people would have anything to do with each other, but the gods of love seem to want to play a trick on this unassuming young man. Mary's brother, Warren Jensen, is mentally ill and in constant need of care. One day a mad bull threatens Warren's life, and Ted comes to Warren's rescue, so Mary develops a heartfelt crush on Ted. Things develop quickly, Mary soon invited Ted **** to a senior prom, but there are bad luck, in Ted's much-anticipated prom his pants zipper to the original dream of the day into a mess, and the two love affair also ended. Thirteen years later, Ted has become a famous writer, living in Providence, Ted still remembered Mary. Looking at the day to day for this trouble Ted, his friend Dom suggested that he hire a private detective to find Mary's whereabouts, and recommended to him Pat Hurley, Ted gladly accepted the advice of his friend, and agreed to go by Pat to do this. But Pat is not as brave and upright as Ted thinks, but a morally corrupt villain with a moustache and small eyes who can't keep his hands off a pretty woman. Pat accepts Ted's commission and finds Mary in Miami. Now a plastic surgeon, the still gorgeous Mary has been too busy taking care of her brother Warren to get married. As soon as Pat sees Mary, he is immediately smitten and can't help himself, so he makes up a big lie, lying to Ted that Mary is now old, ugly and poor, hoping that Ted will die. After that, Pat tricks, play tactics, and even the use of eavesdropping and other dirty tricks to find out Mary's hobbies and likes and dislikes, and the right medicine, to the point of near-success. However, paper can not hold fire, Ted finally learned that Pat said all lies, so he went to Miami to find Mary. However, the journey to find love is exceptionally bumpy, on the way to Miami, Ted piggybacked on a psychopathic murderer, and was mistaken for a murderer and detained by the police. Fortunately, the police captured the real killer so that Ted was able to meet with Mary, and a years of love without an ending restarted......
