As we all know, China as one of the world's four major ancient civilizations, with more than 5,000 years of splendid history and culture, in the 43rd UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting with the Chinese Liangzhu Ancient City ruins on the day approved for inclusion in the World Heritage List. Thus, the total number of China's world heritage reached 55, now ranked first in the world.
In addition to this I also know of other World Heritage sites in China:
I. The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest architectural projects in the history of human civilization, which was built more than 2,000 years ago during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, and then connected with each other to become the Great Wall of China after the unification of China by the Qin Dynasty. It was built on a large scale during the Han and Ming dynasties. The magnitude of the project and the grandeur of the project can be called the eighth wonder of the world. As the years go by, things are different, and now when you ascend to the site of the Great Wall of the past, you can not only witness the majestic appearance of the Great Wall winding through the mountains and ridges, but also appreciate the ability of the Chinese people to create history.
II. Ming and Qing Dynasty Palace: Beijing Forbidden City World Heritage Site, also known as the Forbidden City, is located in the center of Beijing City, for the Ming and Qing Dynasties Palace, there are 24 emperors have been here to reign. Built in 1406, it has been nearly 600 years. The Forbidden City is the world's largest surviving, the most complete complex of ancient wooden buildings, covering an area of 720,000 square meters, a building area of about 150,000 square meters, with more than 9,000 halls, including the Hall of Imperial Harmony (also known as the Hall of the Golden Emperor), is the emperor held on the throne, the birth of festivals and celebrations, and the military expedition, and other ceremonies in place. The Forbidden City yellow tiles and red walls, gold casements and pillars, white jade carved railings, overlapping palaces, majestic, is the essence of China's ancient architecture. Is the pinnacle of China's timber architecture, the palace now collects valuable cultural relics and art works of about more than 1 million pieces.
We should cherish the valuable wealth left to us by our ancestors, passed down through the ages for future generations to admire.
