Macau Fisherman's Wharf is the first theme park and shopping mall modeled after the Fisherman's Wharf in Europe and the United States in Macao, China. It is located on the coast of the new reclaimed area of the Outer Harbor, near the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal.
Fisherman's Wharf covers an area of more than 100 square meters, integrating entertainment, shopping, food and beverage, hotels, marinas and convention and exhibition facilities, with diversified entertainment facilities, combining different architectural features and Chinese and Western cultures, and aiming to enable visitors to break through the geographical boundaries and experience the feelings of different regions. There are many specialty stores and Lan Kwai Fong style and European style restaurants and bars. In the future, there will be a casino and a hotel, integrating different elements into one, like a small city. The concept originates from Europe and the United States, representing a kind of continental nostalgic leisure, not only an entertainment venue, but also a comprehensive getaway palace.
Fisherman's Wharf is partly reclaimed from the sea. In the first phase of the project, the architectural characteristics of China, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Rome, Holland, the United States and many other places are covered, blending different cultures of China and the West, which is very distinctive, and is not only a place of recreation and entertainment for Hong Kong and Macao residents, but also the first choice of sightseeing for a trip to Macao. The entire project is divided into three thematic areas, namely "Tang City", "East Meets West" and "Legend Pier".
The "Tang City", or "Palace Pier" in the original design, adopts the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty in China, with many shopping venues and some food and beverage establishments located in the ancient Tang Dynasty citadel.
The "East Meets West" is a fusion of Chinese and Western architectural styles, with the 40-meter-high, realistic volcano not only being one of the icons of Fisherman's Wharf, but also the interior of the building being a paradise for those who like to seek out challenges and thrills, while the Arabian Fortress is a paradise for children.
The "Legendale Pier" is a themed area showcasing European and Latin flavors, with a beautiful neighborhood of world cuisine on one side and boutique stores on the other. Its entertainment venues are a continuation of Macau's specialty industries.
