Grandma's Penghu Bay Lyrics

Title: Grandma's Penghu Bay

Sung by: Pan Anbang

Lyrics: Ye Chiaxiu

Music: Ye Chiaxiu

Evening wind gently brushes the Penghu Bay

White waves follow the sandy beach

No coconut groves adorned with slanting sunlight

But just a sea of blue

Sitting on a low wall in front of the gate, I thought about it over and over again.

There were also two pairs of footprints on the beach at dusk

That's when my grandmother held my hand gently with her staff

Treading through the twilight towards the warmth of the afterglow of Penghu Bay

One footprint is a string of laughs and a lot of time spent

Till the night engulfed the two of us on the way back home

Penghu Bay, Penghu Bay Grandma's Penghu Bay

There were many childhood fantasies of my own, and I was able to enjoy them.

There are many of my childhood fantasies

Sunshine, sand, waves, cacti

And an old sea captain

For Pan Anbang's first album, Ye Chia Hsiu talked with Pan Anbang for a whole afternoon, and Pan Anbang told Ye Chia Hsiu everything that he considered most important in his life, including the fact that Pan Anbang grew up with his grandmother, Ye Chia Hsiu felt that this kind of emotion between grandparents and grandchildren was very special, and so he wrote this song."

Composing the song Ye Chia Hsiu also immediately developed the motivation to compose a work for Pan An Bang after he was famous for the story of his childhood in Penghu with his grandmother's grandparental love, and based on this real-life experience, he wrote the song "Grandma's Penghu Bay".
