Street dance (English name Hip Hop) first originated in New York, the United States, is a product of the development of jazz dance to the 90's, it is a combination of a variety of actions by a variety of walking, running, jumping, extremely varied. And through the head, neck, shoulders, upper limbs, torso and other joints of flexion and extension, rotation, around the ring, swing vibration, wavy twisting and other coherent combinations, each action has its own specific fitness effect, not only pay attention to the upper limbs and the lower limbs, the abdomen and the back, the head and the coordination of the torso movements, but also pay attention to the composition of the links of each part of the independent movement. Therefore, street dance not only has a general aerobic exercise to improve cardiorespiratory function, reduce fat, enhance muscle elasticity, enhance ligament flexibility, but also has the coordination of all parts of the human body muscle groups, shaping a beautiful body, improve human coordination, cultivate the sense of beauty function.
Street dance is a movement of black Americans to vent their emotions into the interpretation of street culture, characterized by strong explosive force, in the dance, the limbs of the action done by the more exaggerated than other dances. The most attractive thing is that the whole body's vitality brings the feeling of enthusiasm.
Dancing street dance makes people concentrated, interested, beautiful and casual movements. At the same time, street dance has a slimming effect, because street dance is a kind of low-intensity aerobic exercise, in an hour's exercise, the effect of consuming the whole body fat is quite strong. In addition, street dance is a kind of small muscle movement, regular practice can increase your whole body coordination, so that your body proportion is more standard.
Categorization
Taking movement as the standard, street dance is divided into two major categories: Hip-Hop and Breaking. street dance can be generally divided into two kinds, one is individual skill street dance. Individual skill street dance is the earliest popular kind of street dance, because it can reflect the energetic side of the young people, they have a lot of ground movements, such as tumbling, inverted, bouncing are relatively high skill individual street dance performance. The other kind is the group street dance, which is the more popular form of street dance at present. It reflects the needs of the public, dancing is relatively simple, strong sense of rhythm, it has both the feeling of dance and fitness. So at present the more common is the collective street dance.
Breaking:
Skill-based street dance, requiring dancers to have a high degree of strength, flexibility and coordination, belonging to the more skillful sports dance, so it is the first for the country's young people love. Teenagers who dance this type of dance are called B-Boy/B-Girl.
In the 1980s, DJ Kool Herc, who is known as the "Father of Hip-Hop," created the concept of the B-Boy, or Breaking Boy, and every year, many countries around the world have a special festival for B-Boys. Every year, many countries around the world hold competitions for B-Boys, the most famous being the annual BOTY (Battle of The Year) and the B-Boy Champion in the UK, where 100s of contestants from over 10 countries take part. The winners of the competitions quickly gain notoriety and become teenage stars.
Hip-Hop:
The word Hip-Hop, which translates to hip-hop in Chinese, was born in 1974 in New York, USA, and was invented by the famous DJ and MC Love Bug Starski. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, a series of black cultural art forms emerged in the East Coast cities of the United States, led by New York, including: graffiti (Graffiti or Writing), bebop or breakdancing (B-Boying), beatboxing (DJing or Deejay, DJ is Disk Jockey, meaning disc jockey, that is, the person who drives the records), rap (MCing or Emcee, MC is Master of Ceremony).
The word Hip-Hop was originally used by Love Bug Stalsky to rhyme in rap, Hip meaning ass and Hop meaning jump, which together can be interpreted as jumping ass. Bambaataa, the "godfather of hip-hop", borrowed the word hip-hop to collectively refer to the four forms of culture represented by the black urban cultural movement, which was soon widely accepted, and the above four cultures became what we usually call the four elements of hip-hop.
Hip-Hop translates as hip-hop, and RAP translates as rap, which are different concepts. Hip-Hop is not actually a musical term but a cultural one, including rap, graffiti, street dance and DJ beatboxing; RAP originated in the 60s, while Hip-Hop as a musical understanding originated in the 70s. -Hop, on the other hand, originated in the early 1970s, and its predecessor was RAP (sometimes with a little R(B).
Hip-Hop literally means Hip is Hip and Hop is hopping on one foot, which together add up to a light twisting and swinging of the hips, and originally referred to street dance in its infancy stage (or breakdancing as we used to call it), before it evolved into a huge concept - which we Hip-hop culture now includes baggy clothes, heavy gold jewelry, and the habit of saying "YoYo? what's up?" -In short, it's about the way black people live in America's ghetto neighborhoods and what they're like.
There are many styles of dance, including Poping, Locking, Electric, Turbo, and House. They do not require as much skill as Breaking, but require more coordination and sense of movement, as well as flexibility and control of the body. Good Hip-Hop Dancers also need hard practice. Because Hip-Hop Dance is not as skillful as Breaking and lacks competitiveness, it has not been given enough attention by street dance enthusiasts in the past, but now with the enhancement of the concept of dance, this situation has been changed, and even the B-Boys have begun to practise and many all-around good street dancers have appeared.
Hip-Hop is one of the most common dances that people come across, it has a wide range of simple steps that can show a complex sense of dance. Because it is easy to learn and look good, it is very popular
POPING:
Mechanical dance, using the muscles and joints of all parts of the body, along with the beat of the music, coupled with their own rich imagination, to create a surprising dance steps. It belongs to the more difficult type of street dance
FREESTYLE:
It is a kind of out-of-the-ordinary dance steps, which mixes various types of dances and expresses itself as it pleases, without any limitation of the dance styles, and out of the norms of the general dances, which can be said to be a kind of personalized street dance
HOUSE:
With house music, the use of complex and magical pace performance of a dance, it can be added to the Latin dance twists, martial arts flip, tap dance basic steps and ballet circles, jumping up can be very elegant, but also can be quite wild.

This is a kind of JAZZ jazz development of the dance, exclusively for girls to dance, very concerned about the softness and instantaneous outbreak. The main arm movements, waist twisting and hip movements as a supplement. It is very popular in Europe, America and Korea. The soundtrack is rhythmic jazz.
RAGREA (reggae, girls only):
This dance is said to have originated in France, and some say that it originated in the United States. Is a very sexy kind of dance, the interpretation of the dancers dressed in very exposed, to the lower body movements, mainly to the hips, waist, legs, there will be some simple inverted, and at the same time in the air shaking thighs of the temptation to move. In Japan, where the pornographic industry is well developed, the development is very good. The normal interpretation is also very sexy.
Street dance in China
The earliest exposure of Chinese youth to street dance began in the 1980s with the American movie "Break Dance," which was the precursor to the current breakdancing. With the deepening of Chinese youth's understanding of street dance, they have gradually returned to the origin of street dance and practiced it with their own vision and characteristics.
In addition to the early days of breakdancing, young people across the country have been practicing street dance since the mid-1990s. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou because of the developed information, street dance is carried out earlier; Zhengzhou, Henan Province, due to the close relationship between the Central Plains martial arts culture and street dance, Breaking dance also started earlier. Nowadays, there are young people practicing street dance all over the country, and in the street squares of various cities, they can pile up the figure of training. They also often organize small competitions (Battle, ballast dance/scramble dance), and the best dancers can win the admiration of many teenagers.
The youth's passion for street dance has led to a proliferation of street dance applications, from arts and culture to commercials. We can see that in the music videos of many famous artists, such as Jay Chou, Chen Xiaochun, Xiao Yaxuan, and Wen Lan, the street-dancing teenagers appear frequently, and the commercial advertisements of brands such as Nike, Li Ning, Season 5, Huiyuan, Jinti, and Nokia, etc., use street-dancing styling and frequently bombard the vision of young consumers.
In the dance drama "Notre Dame de Paris" staged at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing in early 2003, a large number of street dance moves were applied, forming a unique cultural landscape.
With the rise of national fitness activities, street dance as a fitness movement has also entered the fitness centers of major cities. Many professional practitioners of dance, opera and acrobatics have also begun to practice street dance, and street dance is widely spread in various art schools. On university campuses, many dance clubs have also organized themselves to practice street dance; it is more common for secondary school students to engage in street dance activities after school, and they have formed a community culture unique to young people in the residential communities of major cities. A few years ago, CCTV's 5-set sports channel opened a street dance teaching program (although the teaching was not pure street dance), and 3-set Dance World broadcast a special program on street dance before the Spring Festival in 2003, which was filmed by BeiDaTang. As a popular cultural and sports activity for young people, street dance has spread widely across the country.
What to pay attention to when practicing street dance
When learning street dance initially, it is important not to increase the amount of exercise all at once, but to progress step by step. Usually the first warm-up activities, the body's various joints, ligaments, especially the knee, ankle joints to be fully active, so as to avoid injury when jumping; and then into a certain intensity and time of practice, preferably not less than 30 minutes; and finally using a variety of stretching exercises to make the body relax. Such three steps to achieve a better slimming effect.
As each person's age, physical ability and health conditions are different, so the intensity of each person's exercise varies. The "exercise intensity" is generally expressed by the "maximum heart rate", you should calculate the most appropriate heart rate when dancing:
If you are 25 years old, do not often participate in sports, physical fitness in general, the choice of street dance as a slimming exercise program, then your Your maximum heart rate is 220-25=195, and your exercise intensity (workout heart rate) should be (60-75%) x 195=117-146 (beats/minute).
Finding the Feeling for Street Dancing
Often the hardest thing we have to do when we dance hip-hop is the feeling. So how can we practice that feeling?
Step 1: First of all, you must have several times more love for HIP-HOP than others.
Step 2: Go to your neighborhood music studio or video store and buy a CD or cassette of hip-hop dance music.
Step 3: Pick what you think is the best bass stereo around (to better practice your groove).
Step 4: Pick the CD you bought that makes your heart beat the hardest.
Step 5: Make the music as loud as you can and follow the thud of the music! Ta-da! Work on your shoulders (let your shoulders just shake back and forth); you'll find it boring at first, but the shoulders are the most important part of the sensation when dancing to hip-hop.
Step 6: Continue from the previous step and work on bouncing your legs and knees up and down.
Step 7: Follow the music and practice moving your left and right legs backward and forward one step at a time.
Step 8: Practice the flexibility of your hand joints (like waves from your finger tips to your shoulders, both right and left hand).
Step 9: Practice your toes. Follow the music and practice walking on your toes only, bouncing back and forth on your toes. This will take your senses to the next level as well. Be careful not to hit the ground on all sides of your feet while practicing this step.
Step 10: Combine all of the above steps and shake your body all over the place, and you'll have the basis for your hip-hop groove.
It's usually a good idea to have a large mirror to practice in when you're starting out. You will feel bored and tired when you start practicing. Because hip-hop is not a dance, but it is no less tiring, you must have the willpower to keep practicing. Some people may not feel it when practicing, but don't think that you don't have the talent. Many famous dancers feel it suddenly when they are walking or when they don't realize it. So you can also become the voice of HIP-HOP by practicing.
Specific practice methods
POPPIN as long as the flexible use of limbs is very strong, do not in the limbs have not been practiced POP when you come to dance POPPIN, so that the foundation is not stable, you will never learn, even if you mimic a movement out of the jump, but the insiders will look at it will not look good, and POPPIN is not more than who POP arc is big! Or the whole body will POP is great; POP when the point of force to be short but to be big, POPPIN point of the more relaxed the more beautiful, so it will look fine and fine, many people practice will use the upper shoulder suddenly pull down to drive the various parts of the muscles to achieve the POP, this practice method can not say that it is not correct, just POP up is not very good to look at it, there is also to be added is that everyone just practicing When is not going to feel their own movement is very little, in fact, this is not a problem, as long as you jump for a long time, feel good, put their bodies into the music, even if in a song to repeat some of the action is also does not matter, the important thing is to feel, to follow the music to jump, to be in tune, as long as you can follow the music to keep jumping to play a song words is also not bad.
A hand practice method
1, put both hands into a posture very much like riding a horse, fingers down, to feel very relaxed feeling
2, and then you wrist down, but the finger part of the let him up, the wrist to the downward pressure, do you see your little arm has a concave hole, is the shaft where there is a small hole (repeated practice that is)
3, and then you can see your arm is a small hole, and then you can see your arm is a small hole.
3, during the exercise, you look at the upper part of your hand, the muscles have not burst out, if so, you look at the chest and arm connected to the part of the chest and arm there is no jumping, and the back of the muscles have not jumped? When you press your wrist downward, the muscles in your chest are slightly jumping, aren't they, but be careful: it's not the chest going forward, it's the pectoral muscles that are jumping upward. If you have the above points, then it is correct.
It is estimated that at the beginning of the practice of the back muscle part of the jump may not be able to come out, but to force the practice will be OK. To pay attention to is to practice the hands of the shoulders do not force, the force are in the wrist, please try to see if there is a feeling.
This hand practice should be combined with foot practice, so that it is natural.
Second, the foot POP practice
The foot POP is actually the crotch POP, many people think it is so complicated and difficult to practice, in fact, crotch practice is easier than hand practice, as long as you don't think it is too complicated on it, try to be as simple as possible, the simpler, the better, pay attention to is the use of the knee.
1, you first stand up, and then slightly bent knees forward, a little like to sit down the feeling
2, you from the first point said, slowly from this action to stand up, remember to slowly straighten the foot, but do not force
3, slowly stand up, the foot is about to stand up straight when you suddenly here to force the foot quickly straighten (that is, the knee is back), so that Repeatedly practicing is not to reach the POP across the bottom? Remember don't use any force on the buttocks or close in, that's not the right way to practice, we try to think the simpler the better
This foot exercise should be combined with the upper hand exercise is good, so it is natural.
Three, the head of the POP
In fact, this head part of the exercise with the typing method is really difficult to explain clearly! In fact, it is also the head to the direction of the 45-degree angle of force to achieve a kind of effect.
We often bump into acquaintances on the road when we will call a "hello", remember, the head of the POP is a bit like "hello" sound, how to say? When you call someone "hello", head is not a little bit up a little, is that a "point" is actually POP, just you have to force and to be completed in a short period of time only. Attention is to first maintain the original relaxed expression, suddenly call someone to feed a sound, repeated practice will learn the head of the POP, is not a little feeling ah! (But the real single chest vibration is need to practice, practice method first straighten the waist, you will feel a little sore waist, pay attention to lift the chest, and then slowly relax when suddenly come to a POP, but this POP is not the waist out of force, the waist is straightened up just for the POP when more beautiful!)
Supplementation
Lastly, I would like to add some views of the domestic first-class POPPER: BOKY:
1. POP on the arm mainly uses the triceps and radial carpal tunnel muscles. You can try to do this kind of action: five fingers hold the wall, and then use the position of the palm of the hand to push the wall (pay attention to the elbow joint natural bending, do not force to go big straight). The muscle group used in this action is roughly the POP position on the arm.
2. The chest muscles are vertical upward. This is because it is important to note that very few pops will be done utilizing extended joints. So conversely, if the pectoral muscles are not traveling upward, they will inevitably be implicated in the flexion of the spinal joints. Also, the POP of the pectoral muscles and the POP of the neck muscles are generally accomplished at the same time. It can be understood like this. When the pectoral muscles go up, the head stays in its original position or is slightly pressed down, which naturally compresses the neck muscles. In addition, how to exercise the neck muscles? You can try to make two sounds, one is "Oh", when the mouth is opened to the maximum, it is very natural to tighten the sternocleidomastoid muscle. The other one is "ha", when you open your mouth to the maximum, you can tighten the scapularis and scapulothoracicus muscles. These three muscles are a very important source of POP for the neck.
3. Leg POP This is the only POP that requires the use of joints, as it is difficult to tense the thigh muscles with the knees naturally bent. It should be added that the lower POP is not only done by the thigh muscles. In some specific moves, POP is also used on the glutes and lower back muscles.
HIP-HOP style of dress
In the busy city streets, you can sometimes see a lot of young people like to dress in this way: wide sweater or oversized sports jacket straight over the hips, the upper body inside and outside of the overlap, the pants are low and large waist hanging in the crotch, the trouser legs straight on the ground, the trouser legs in the heel of the shoes, the trouser legs in the heel of the shoes, and the trouser legs in the waist. The ground, pants legs in the heel part of the layers, the whole person is safely hidden in the tight clothes set.
This comfortable and a touch of humor in the dress code actually comes from the African American family. Originally, younger brothers and sisters were allowed to wear the same big clothes that their older brothers and sisters wore down to save money, and over time, such a loose, streetwise dress sense developed.
With the popularity of black rap hip-hop, skateboarding, and other extreme sports from the streets around the world, this style of dress favored by black musicians and street athletes has also become popular among young people around the world.
The typical way of dressing for HIP-HOP is to wear a wide T-shirt with an exaggerated logo on it, the same wide and dragging boardshorts, jeans, or sweatpants with side zippers, basketball shoes or work boots, a fishing cap or baseball cap, an ethnic patterned bandana, and hair dyed and burned into a wheat head or braided into a pigtail. The corresponding accessories are: tattooed Tatoo, silver earrings or nose rings, arm bands, Matrix sunglasses, MD Walkman, scooter, back-pack and so on. These bits and pieces of clothing together, it is composed of a whole 20 years in the United States popular Hip-hop fashion.
When you see a boy dressed like this on the street, he has a full head of black braided hair, a long-sleeved cotton shirt over a short-sleeved baseball T-shirt, oversized sweatpants, a nail-thick steel bar through his left ear, a pair of foggy silver headphones hanging from his neck, a pair of skateboarding sneakers on his feet to strengthen his ankle protection, and a big backpack on his back that looks like he just arrived at a scouting trip. He looks like a Chinese-American kid who just arrived to visit his family. Don't be surprised, this is a hip-hop fan!
However, if you look closely, it's not hard to see that these typical hip-hop outfits can't really be called "fresh", as big T-shirts can be found everywhere, and wide boardshorts aren't really fresh, as big-barreled jeans have been used by little girls in previous years. Big jeans have been worn by little girls for years with tight little t-shirts, basketball shoes and workman boots are commonplace, not to mention baseball caps, bandanas, earrings, backpacks and sunglasses. Of all the hip-hop gear, the only thing that was new was the scooter, but any child born in the 70's should remember playing with the "shaved ice truck" in kindergarten. The same high handlebars, two wheels front and back, one foot pedal in the center, and today's popular scooters are exactly the same. So, in this case, the hip-hop fashion seems to be fresh and not very fresh.
It's not easy to recombine those commonplace outfits and wear the kind of hip-hop you've never seen before. The answer to the question of what constitutes Hip-hop style is simple: "You need to feel it." The answer is simple: "You need to have that feeling." In short, it's the word "feeling," but to put it into perspective, the word "feeling" includes a natural artistic talent, a sense of music and dance, a keen sense of fashion and taste, a very outgoing personality, a great command of English, and a good sense of humor. In other words, the person who wants to wear Hip-hop feeling to the fullest must be a very cool new man himself, and to find an English word to describe it, the most apt is "Smart".
So, if you don't think you're up to speed, don't try hip-hop that you don't already feel is right for you, or you'll just be made to feel awkward and unnatural. If you are seen by those who are already quite accomplished in Hip-hop, you will undoubtedly be laughed at.
[Street dance origin]
Dance is a kind of folk dance, emerged in the 1980s in the United States of America's black teenagers, is the United States of America's black "hip-hop culture" (Hip-Hop) component. ~The development of street dance in Japan and South Korea
With the popularization of hip-hop culture in the world, street dance has also spread rapidly around the world. Street dance was introduced to Japan as it was taking shape and moved on to South Korea. The Japanese created and developed many new forms of street dance, focusing more on the dance aspect of it. The Koreans integrated street dance into their own understanding, creating a very national characteristics of the hip-hop variant of the culture: youthful and beautiful song and dance combinations, melodious and fast-paced music, simple and neat dance, gorgeous and exaggerated modeling ...... This culture has been popular in China since 1997, and is known as the "Korean Wave. This culture has been popular in China since 1997 and is known as the "Korean Wave". Japan and South Korea this hip-hop variant of culture to form a strong cultural influence on other Asian countries.
~Types of Street Dance
To the action as a standard, street dance is divided into two categories: Hip-Hop and Breaking.
Breaking: skillful street dance, requires dancers to have a high level of strength, flexibility and coordination, belongs to the skillful sports dance, so it is the first for the domestic teenagers to love. Teenagers who dance this type of dance are called B-Boy/B-Girl.
In the 1980s, DJ Kool Herc, who is known as the "Father of Hip-Hop", created the concept of B-Boy, also known as Breaking Boy.
Every year, many countries around the world have a number of programs for B-Boys. Every year, many countries around the world hold competitions for B-Boys, the most famous being the annual BOTY (B-Boy of The Year) and the B-Boy Champion in the UK, where 100s of contestants from more than 10 countries take part in such events. The winners of the competitions quickly gain fame and become teenage stars.
Hip-Hop: Dance-based street dance with a variety of styles such as Poping, Locking, Electric, Turbo and House. None of them require as much skill as Breaking, but they are more demanding of the dancer's movement coordination and sense of dance, as well as physical flexibility and control. Good Hip-Hop Dancers also need hard practice. Because Hip-Hop Dance is not as skillful as Breaking and lacks competitiveness, it was not given enough attention by street dancers before, but now, with the enhancement of the concept of dance, this situation has been changed, and even B-Boys have started practicing and many all-around good street dancers have appeared.
~The evolution of street dance
Taking the characteristics of the era as a criterion, street dance can be divided into two categories: Old School and New School, with the former being the street dance style of the 1980s, and the latter being produced in the 1990s, which has seen a considerable change in both music and movement.
Old School
Old School music has a very fast beat to match the Breaking moves, and then with the evolution of Hip-Hop music, the Hip-Hop tempo slowed down, and the Breaking moves were not suitable. Because if in this kind of slow Hip-Hop music in the windmill or row leg (Footwork) and other movements, will feel a little explosive power is not, and even lose its sense of dance. That's when the Old School and New School dances began to separate, around 1986.
In the early days, New School's dance moves were very simple, such as the familiar "Running Man" (滑步), which can be seen in MC Hammer's and Babby Brown's music videos, and was also known as "Funky Dance" (Funky舞蹈)。 However, the popularity of this dance from the days of MC Hammer and Babby Brown has gradually turned into Old School.
The emergence of New School
In early 1992, a black dance group called Mop Top (Elite Force), comprised of Henry Link, Loose Joint, Babby Brown and the Mop Top, was founded by the late Henry Link, Loose Joint and Babby Brown. Henry Link, Loose Joint, and Buddha Stretch), a black dance group called Mop Top (Elite Force), developed a new style of hip-hop, an "indigenous hip-hop". It is not like MC Hammer and Babby Brown period of big movements, wide range of movement, not to mention the breakdancing in those similar to gymnastics movements. Its unique style focuses on the coordination of the body (what we call rhythm), emphasizes the rhythm of the upper body and adds a lot of hand movements, unlike the old style of Hip-Hop that emphasized wide range of movement and footwork. Later, Michael Jackson's Remember The Time was released. Jackson's Remember The Time MTV utilized Henry's new style of dance, which immediately started a trend. Later, Malia Kelly's Dreamlover song MTV used a richer New School dance, these dances are mixed with Locking (lock dance), Poping (machine dance), Wave (current) these things. It's hard to tell what kind of dance it was, but it's an important part of the history of New School Hip-Hop, and it's the origin of the world's popularity of New School.
The mature stage of New School
New School Hip-Hop is a mix of different types of dance, presented in a fast and slow Hip-Hop or R&B song. This was one of the early styles of New School, Henry and others simplified many of the Locking moves and used standard Hip-Hop rhythms to express Poping and Locking, and from time to time they added Wave to the dance, in short, interpreting the old dance steps with a new feeling. Later, Henry worked as a choreographer on Malia Kelly's song Fantasy and later on Honey, and Hip-Hop started to mature with the song Creep by the popular female Hip-Hop group TLC and the MTV of the movie "MIB".
New School Hip-Hop Dance Now
When this New School Hip-Hop became popular in Japan, the Japanese developed their own style of dance, New School Hip-Hop, using Old School music. New School started out as a way to express old dances with new music styles, but now it has become a way to interpret new dances with old music styles. In terms of movement, recent New School Hip-Hop has seen more changes, more twisting and contortions of the body, and less and less of what is known as regularity in dance.
