The Dragon Boat Festival in Vietnam is a traditional Vietnamese festival, also known as Zhengyang Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival has the custom of eating dumplings and driving away insects. The Dragon Boat Festival customs in Vietnam are basically the same as in China, but many people do not know "Qu Yuan".

Customs of the festival: Vietnamese people will drink Xionghuang wine, eat zongzi, and give children to wear five colors of silk thread. These five colors of silk threads should be thrown into the river during the first heavy rain or the first bathing in summer for safety and health.

2. Lunar New Year:

Vietnam is one of the few countries in the world that use the lunar calendar and one of the few that celebrate the Lunar New Year. Lunar New Year is the largest and busiest traditional festival among the Vietnamese people. Vietnamese people see the Lunar New Year as a day to welcome the old and the new. Generally, they start preparing New Year goods in the middle of December of the lunar calendar. Flowers, dumplings, spring couplets and firecrackers are always essential during the Lunar New Year in Vietnam.

Festive customs: The most national characteristics of Vietnam's Lunar New Year are dumplings and glutinous rice cakes. Unlike Chinese dumplings, Vietnamese annual dumplings are square and much larger. They are usually made of glutinous rice, pork and mung bean paste in a center packet wrapped in a banana leaf. Legend has it that the New Year dumplings symbolize the earth, with the green color showing vitality, while the pork and mung bean paste wrapped in the middle represent flying birds and animals, and flourishing grass and trees.
