Six processes of wheat planting

Six processes of wheat planting: seedling stage, three-leaf stage, tillering stage, wintering stage, turning green stage and rising stage.

1, seedling stage

When 50% of wheat seedlings grow the first true leaf, which is 2-3 cm above the ground, it means that wheat has entered the seedling stage.

2. Trifoliate stage

Refers to the period when the first and second leaves of cereal crops are completely unfolded and the third leaf is just unfolded. In the three-leaf stage, the endosperm nutrients of the seeds are basically exhausted, and the seedlings begin to absorb nutrients from the soil, so it is also called "weaning period" and "weaning period". The three-leaf stage of wheat also marks the beginning of tillering and long adventitious roots, and it is an important period to take measures to promote the healthy growth of seedlings.

3. Tillering stage

When the stem base branches underground or near the ground, it means that wheat begins to tiller.

4. Overwintering period

Before winter, when the average temperature drops below 0℃, the wheat seedlings will stop growing, and this stage is the wintering period.

5. Greening period

When the average daily temperature reaches 3℃ in spring, the new tillers and root leaves of wheat seedlings begin to grow, and the leaves are bright green. If this happens, it means that wheat has entered the green period.

6, get up period

Wheat seedlings grow vertically instead of creeping, the first leaf sheath of the main stem is elongated, and the first section of the base is elongated by about 0.2cm, but it does not protrude from the ground. If this happens, it means that wheat seedlings have entered the rising period.
