Chapter VII Physical Education and Health Curriculum Evaluation

Curriculum learning evaluation is the focus of the new round of basic education curriculum reform. The Outline of Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Trial) clearly points out that it is necessary to "establish a system to promote students' all-round development". How to evaluate students' sports and health achievements scientifically and reasonably, and make evaluation an effective means to promote students to learn sports better and actively participate in sports activities, is an urgent problem to be solved in the curriculum reform of sports and health in China.

Section 1 Physical Education Learning Evaluation

First, make clear the purpose of learning evaluation.

In the past, there was a basic assumption in the evaluation of physical education curriculum, that is, only a very small number of students achieved excellent results in physical education, most of them belonged to the middle level, and a few students were poor students. Only a few students have excellent academic performance, while the rest have low academic performance. Learning evaluation is just a process of screening students. In this process, only a few people are encouraged to experience success, and most students become losers in physical education class. The Outline of Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Trial) clearly points out: "Evaluation should not only care about students' academic performance, but also discover and develop students' potential in all aspects, understand students' development needs, help students know themselves and establish self-confidence. "

The purpose of learning evaluation of physical education and health courses is:

1. Understand students' learning situation and performance, and the degree to which they have achieved their learning goals. We should not only understand students' physical quality and sports skills, but also understand their behavior in learning activities; The learning goal is not only the same standard that all students are required to achieve, but also the degree of personal efforts.

2. Judge the deficiencies in students' study, analyze the reasons and improve teaching. In this paper, the shortcomings of students in physical quality, skills, behavior, attitude and interpersonal communication in the learning process are carefully analyzed, and the reasons are found out, so as to improve teachers' teaching and students' learning.

3. Provide opportunities for students to show their abilities, levels and personalities, and encourage and promote their progress and development. Through learning evaluation, students can experience the fun and joy of success in sports activities, enhance their self-confidence in sports learning, and contribute to their further study and development.

4. Cultivate students' self-awareness and self-education ability. Through the evaluation of students' autonomous learning, students can have a clear and correct understanding of their physical fitness, skills, attitudes, behaviors and interpersonal communication, and on this basis, they can see their own strengths and weaknesses, so that their strengths complement each other.

Second, correctly treat the change of learning evaluation focus.

1. Changes in the content of learning evaluation

In the past, the content of learning evaluation of physical education curriculum was highlighted by paying too much attention to the evaluation of physical fitness and sports skills, while the content of learning evaluation was increased and improved in the Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standard. The evaluation content includes four aspects: physical fitness, knowledge and skills, learning attitude, emotional expression and cooperative spirit. The increase and perfection of the evaluation content can truly reflect the basic idea of facing all students and truly reflect the fairness of evaluation.

2. Changes in learning evaluation methods

In the past, physical education curriculum paid too much attention to quantitative evaluation and summative evaluation, while physical education and health curriculum standards not only paid attention to the evaluation of results, but also paid attention to the evaluation of students' learning process. Pay attention to both quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation; Pay attention not only to absolute evaluation, but also to relative evaluation. When evaluating physical education and health knowledge learning, we don't emphasize simple memory, but emphasize the understanding and application of what we have learned.

3. Changes in the form of learning evaluation

In the past, the evaluation form of physical education class's academic performance only used a single teacher's external evaluation of students, that is, teachers tested and graded students according to the evaluation standards of physical fitness, sports skills and sports ability, while the Curriculum Standards for Physical Education and Health advocated that teachers should not only evaluate students from the outside, but also students should evaluate their own learning situation, and students should evaluate each other.

Third, the content of academic performance evaluation recommendations for implementation

The content of academic performance evaluation should be consistent with the curriculum objectives, especially with the level objectives in the field of learning, so as to better promote the all-round development of students.

1. Physical health assessment

Developing physical fitness is not only an important learning content, but also an important goal of physical education and health curriculum. According to the guiding ideology of "health first" in school physical education in China, and considering the current health status of children and students in China, physical education and health curriculum standards take physique as the evaluation content of students' academic performance.

2. Physical fitness evaluation referred to in Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standard and physical fitness evaluation in physical education class in the past.

The contents mainly include: the understanding of sports and health, the value and importance of sports and health to people and society; Master the knowledge related to exercise and health and apply it to practice; Be able to master sports skills that meet the requirements of a certain learning level and apply them to practice.

3. Evaluation of learning attitude

From the perspective of lifelong physical education, the important goal of physical education and health curriculum is to establish students' correct understanding of physical education and health, so that students can form a correct and positive attitude towards physical education. Therefore, students' attitude towards physical education learning and practice should become an important part of the academic performance evaluation of physical education and health courses. The evaluation index of sports learning attitude can include the following aspects (only recommended):

Can you seriously accept the teacher's guidance?

4. Emotional expression and evaluation of cooperative spirit

Improving students' mental health and social adaptation level is one of the important goals of physical education and health curriculum. In physical education and health courses, students' mental health is mainly manifested in whether they can overcome timidity and inferiority, and study and practice confidently; Can you dare and be good at overcoming all kinds of subjective and objective difficulties and obstacles, challenge yourself, overcome yourself, and study and practice persistently? Whether you are good at using sports activities and other means to better control your emotions.

In the course of physical education and health, students' social adaptability is mainly manifested in whether they can understand and respect other classmates and teachers, whether they can show good interpersonal skills and cooperative spirit in the learning process, and whether they can strive to shoulder the responsibilities in collective learning and practice, such as going all out to win the team championship; Abide by the rules and respect the referee; You can praise your opponent regardless of the outcome; Carefully analyze the reasons for the failure, and don't blame others; Can exchange views with others well.

According to the actual situation, physical education teachers can list the performance of the above-mentioned students in mental health and social adaptability as the main content of evaluation.

Four. Suggestions on the implementation of academic performance evaluation standards

According to the evaluation index of academic performance of physical education and health courses, the evaluation criteria of academic performance can be divided into absolute criteria, relative criteria and individual difference criteria. In order to make academic performance evaluation really play its due role, promote students' learning and better realize the educational value of physical education, the evaluation criteria of physical education academic performance should be different according to the different evaluation contents, and the evaluation of physical fitness academic performance should be carried out by combining absolute evaluation criteria with intra-individual difference criteria.

Fifth, suggestions on the implementation of the evaluation method of academic performance

According to the goal and content of physical education and health course, the evaluation method of academic performance should not be single, but diversified. The evaluation of physical fitness and sports skills can be carried out by combining quantitative evaluation with qualitative evaluation. Qualitative evaluation can be used as the main method to evaluate learning attitude and behavior, emotional expression and cooperative spirit.

Sixth, suggestions on the implementation of the form of academic performance evaluation

In order to encourage and promote students' learning, improve students' learning performance and participate in sports activities, the evaluation of sports learning performance involves not only teachers, but also students' self-evaluation and mutual evaluation. Physical education teachers should actively organize and scientifically guide students to evaluate their physical education academic performance and evaluate each other in groups, so that students can not only discover their own progress and development, but also experience the happiness brought by success and understand their own shortcomings, so as to further improve their studies.

The following are some cases of PE academic performance evaluation (see case 1, case 2 and case 3) for reference only.

Case 1: Grade 2 (Grade 3-4 in primary school) students' PE learning performance evaluation.

The second grade (grade 3-4 in primary school) students are the key period to form sports attitude. Through two years of physical education study and activities, and with the growth of age, their physical fitness, sports skills and social cognitive level have been improved, and they can form a relatively stable interest in sports and a positive attitude towards sports. Therefore, at this stage, the achievement system can be used to evaluate students' physical education academic performance (see table 7- 1). In order to better stimulate and improve students' enthusiasm for learning physical education and urge them to improve their study, we should collect as much information as possible about the progress and changes of students' physical education study and evaluate it in a critical way.
