To some extent, active injection of COVID-19 vaccine has almost become the most effective way to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic. In addition, we need to take other measures to further prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic. For us ordinary people, we need not only two shots of COVID-19 vaccine, but also a shot of COVID-19 vaccine, so as to further reduce the impact on ourselves.
COVID-19 vaccination rate for the elderly in Beijing has reached over 80%.
After a series of encouragement and advocacy measures, the vaccination rate of people over 60 years old in Beijing has reached more than 80%, ranking 1 in the country. At the same time, the average vaccination rate in China is generally above 88%, which means that we have basically achieved the initial overall epidemic prevention and control barrier through vaccination with COVID-19 vaccine.
We need to protect the elderly by vaccination against COVID-19.
In fact, this truth is very simple. Although a series of mutations will occur in COVID-19, and the mutated COVID-19 is not harmful to human body, it does not mean that COVID-19 is an epidemic influenza. Among all basic patients, the probability of severe patients in the elderly group is relatively high. Because some elderly people have their own basic diseases, COVID-19 may lead to various complications of some elderly people. If we want to effectively protect the health of the elderly, we need to further encourage the elderly to actively take COVID-19 vaccine.
What is my personal suggestion?
Except for Beijing, I suggest that all cities and regions actively encourage the elderly to get COVID-19 vaccine. Many elderly people don't know about COVID-19 vaccine themselves, and they don't know what help COVID-19 vaccine can bring to them. Based on this situation, I think community workers in various regions need to further encourage the elderly to be vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine, and at the same time, they need to conduct a series of surveys on the vaccination rate of the elderly in COVID-19.
