Jingtu Temple is located 30 kilometers north of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, and belongs to the National Geopark Nature Reserve. At the foot of the Great Wall, in the center of Liujiang Basin. It is located on the hillside on the north side of the "Ancient Waterfront Cliff Battlefield" to avoid the wind and the sun. Backed by green mountains and clear water, it is a famous ancient temple.
With beautiful mountains and clear waters, peaks and valleys, winding clear water and beautiful landscapes, there are many rare landscapes in the world, such as "Goose Pine Nest Crane", "Boarding Diaoyutai", "Jade Belt Wrapped Around the waist", "Magpie Forest", "Ancient Battlefield Site", "Sword Eye" and "Song Deng".
According to Yulin County Records, Jingtu Temple was founded in Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty. It was originally dedicated to the Bodhisattva Galand (Wu Caishen) and later revived as the Pure Land Dojo. It was rebuilt in the thirty-eighth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, in the tenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty and in the forty years of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. Later, a Buddhist monk named Fahai was resurrected, and it was established as a permanent residence for future generations, specifically for monks and tourists.
The temple is large-scale, and its overall structure is divided into 99 ancient wooden tile houses, including three-story hall, east-west hall, six halls, Buddha chanting hall, bell and drum tower, horse hall, incense hall and temple tower, covering an area of 9,000 square meters, and it is known as the first temple in JD.COM.
According to legend, in the early Ming Dynasty, when observing the celestial phenomena, court ministers found that a real dragon emperor would be born in the north twelve years later. In order to defend the country, the emperor quickly sent several ministers to be escorted by the body guard. After several years of unannounced visits, they really found this sacred place. Later, the minister supervised the construction of a pure earth temple with only a dozen square meters to suppress the death of the real dragon emperor.
