On the morning of September 4th, 2023, Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention held a special democratic life meeting to study and implement the theme education in Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Hui Luo, member of the party group and deputy director of the Provincial Health and Wellness Committee, gave guidance and comments. The meeting was presided over by the secretary of the Party Committee of the organ directly under the CPC Central Committee, attended by all members of the Party Committee of the organ, and the heads of relevant functional departments attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.
In his comments, Hui Luo pointed out that since the theme education was launched, the provincial CDC has earnestly studied and implemented Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought, fully implemented the decision-making arrangements of the provincial party committee, the provincial government and the party group of the provincial health and wellness committee, consciously grasped the theme education as a major political task, paid close attention to implementation, concentrated on studying ideas, strengthened party spirit exercise, emphasized practice, made contributions, promoted theoretical study and investigation one by one, and achieved practical results in casting souls and learning to increase wisdom, laying a solid foundation for this democratic life meeting.
Hu' nan province disease prevention control center
Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention is a health institution directly under the Health Department of Hunan Province. It was re-established on the basis of abolishing the original provincial health and epidemic prevention station, merging the provincial health education institute and the provincial dermatology prevention and control institute. It is the center of disease prevention and control, health examination, health education, preventive medical research, preventive technical consultation and service in the province, and also the center of business leadership, technical assessment and professional training of disease control institutions.
In June, 2020, it was selected into the list of medical and health institutions in Hunan Province to carry out COVID-19 nucleic acid testing. The center has gathered a large number of senior and intermediate health professionals and technicians, and has a large number of advanced instruments and equipment. There are high-level laboratories certified by the World Health Organization and the state, such as the registered efficacy laboratory of sanitary pesticides and the functional inspection and evaluation experiment of health food, which have strong strength to provide technical services for disease prevention and promote the all-round development of health and disease prevention in our province.
