It is observed that there are many nearsightedness in the eyes of primary school students now. The reason for it is the concern of adults, but among students, this problem is also of interest to them. Students in the class have also tried on a classmate's glasses, which shows that they are extremely curious about it. To this end, we designed an investigation and research activity on myopia of primary school students, hoping that students can fully study it and get some understanding and gains.
Through this activity, the purpose is to make students: 1, consolidate and apply knowledge such as mathematics and nature; 2. In the process of activities, understand how to use your eyes reasonably and develop a good habit of using your eyes; 3. Let students form the ability and interest of simple research; 4. Carry forward the spirit of unity and cooperation.
Second, the implementation process:
(1) Start-up and preparation stage (early April)
1. publicize and carry out relevant investigation activities in grades 4 and 5, so that interested students can register themselves.
2. According to students' wishes and research contents, organize students to discuss myopia and establish research topics.
(1) The formation of myopia (the relationship between myopia and usual habits, diet, etc. ).
(2) Myopia and attention in class (whether myopic students can concentrate and see clearly in class).
(3) Myopia and heredity (the relationship with myopia of family members).
(4) Prevention and treatment of myopia (collect relevant information on how to prevent and effectively reduce the adverse effects of myopia).
3. Students choose the topic they want to study, form a research group, select the person in charge, make a research plan and get ready. Such as: selecting the scope of investigation, designing the content of investigation, etc. It is convenient for teachers to guide.
(2) Implementation of investigation stage (mid-April)
1, knowledge preparation before investigation:
Read more popular science books, learn more about eyes, and let students do experiments by themselves: understand the imaging principle of eyes, write experiments and observe.
Materials: Knowledge about eyes in books such as health education, encyclopedia of life and nature (volume 12).
Through this data collection process, students' ability to collect, analyze, sort out and use a large amount of information is cultivated, so as to learn to handle rich information correctly.
2, each group of design survey papers:
Let each group design a survey paper about what the students in the group want to know most under the discussion of everyone.
Before that, let's briefly explain the writing of the investigation paper.
In this process, students give full play to their initiative and release the content that they are most interested in in in various ways.
Type. And their respective objects are different, so the survey papers are integrated into two copies, which are carried out separately.
For people in society (survey volume 1) and students at school (survey volume 2).
3, the implementation of investigation stage:
Each group handed over the designed survey paper to the teacher for guidance and revision, and then used two survey papers for investigation. In this process, the members of the investigation team conducted a student questionnaire survey in the middle and high grades, and the results were simply analyzed and counted by themselves. Another social questionnaire was accompanied by teachers and students in the street, and everyone exercised their abilities while seeking answers.
Students have the deepest experience and feelings in this part of the activity. Because it is the first time to conduct a complete survey of strangers, they overcame the inevitable tension and shyness for the first time, exercised their eloquence, improved their courage and communication skills, and at the same time increased their knowledge and broadened their horizons. This survey is quite successful, the prepared survey papers are all used up, and some students are not interested!
4. Handling of survey results:
Make simple statistics on the collected survey results, draw statistical charts and analyze the survey situation.
Students simply sort out and count the results of the survey papers. Look at most of the results and ask students to pay attention to summarizing most people's choices.
(3) Summarize the research stage:
Ask the students to make a detailed analysis of the contents involved in the investigation, find out the most favorable materials for their research topics, and summarize the work. On this basis, let the students sort out the records and diaries of activities and their own feelings. And use these materials in a targeted manner.
In this process, the students recorded the most impressive things in the investigation. Most of them choose the part of street investigation, which is perhaps the most attractive part for students, because in this link, students' enthusiasm and ability can be mobilized and stimulated. Moreover, compared with some calculations and sorting, going out for inspection can develop students' quality better. Let them learn and master a lot of knowledge outside books and get in touch with society initially.
(4) Thinking feedback stage: according to the research results or situation, put forward suggestions or opinions to students or glasses manufacturers.
