Widely used as fertilizer, power generation, agricultural fertilizer and other fields, it can be said that it is a good helper in people's lives. But what about this quick and convenient gas? Careless nuthatch may explode, causing serious consequences and endangering people's health and safety.
At about 5: 50 a.m. on June 25th, 65438, two explosions occurred near Jinbo Sea View, Youyi Street, Jinpu New District. The preliminary judgment is that the gas pipeline of Jinzhou Tiancheng Gas Company leaked and caused an explosion. Natural gas is not as toxic as carbon monoxide, so it is essentially harmless to human body.
However, if the natural gas is at a high concentration and the content in the air reaches a certain level, it will still suffocate and die because the oxygen in the air is not enough to support life. Moreover, natural gas, as a fuel, will also lead to explosion accidents, resulting in casualties can not be underestimated.
Two explosions occurred near Jinbo Seaview Community, Youyi Street, Jinpu New District. After the first explosion, about 10 vehicles were damaged to varying degrees, accompanied by fire. During the rescue, another explosion and fire broke out in a nearby garage.
Eight people were slightly injured by the glass fragments produced by the explosion, and three others lost contact. All the injured people have been transferred to the hospital for treatment. After putting out the open fire at the scene, it is preliminarily judged that the accident should be caused by the gas pipeline leakage of Tiancheng Gas Company, and the specific cause of the accident is under investigation.
Follow-up news reports said that all three people who had lost contact before had been found, two of them died and the other had been taken to hospital for emergency treatment. Natural gas is mainly composed of alkanes, mostly methane, and a small amount of ethane, propane, butane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapor, a small amount of carbon monoxide and a small amount of rare gases.
So natural gas is lighter than air and easy to disperse. This special property can easily make people ignore its great lethality. When natural gas gathers in a relatively closed environment such as houses or tents and reaches a certain proportion in the air, it will explode.
The explosion is so powerful that it may instantly raze the house to the ground and even endanger the surrounding buildings. If leakage is found, turn off the gas switch, open the doors and windows, and pay special attention not to turn on or off the electrical switch, and then immediately call the outdoor maintenance.
