Can pickup truck enterprises return to work smoothly? -one of the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic.

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the State Council extended the Spring Festival holiday, and local enterprises also delayed the resumption of work, mostly from February 10 to February 17. Recently, the national level attaches great importance to the post-holiday resumption of work, and puts forward that "epidemic prevention and control" and "economic development" are equally important, and whether it can be successfully resumed will be the key to achieving the goal of economic development. Judging from the current situation of resumption of work in the whole country, the production of basic industries has recovered rapidly, and some service industries have also resumed work online, but the production recovery of industrial and construction enterprises is relatively low.

From June 5438 to June 2020 10, the sales volume of pickup terminals in a narrow sense was 25,785, down 32.93% year-on-year. The outbreak of COVID-19 virus started from the end of June 5438+10, so it did not have a great impact on the production capacity and sales in June 5438+10. The main reason for the decline in sales in the same period in June 5438+ 10 comes from the advance of the Lunar New Year. But in February, the whole automobile industry, including the automobile market, suffered a comprehensive and systematic blow from the COVID-19 epidemic. For the automobile manufacturing industry, the pickup truck sales and after-sales service market will drop by at least 50% in February, regardless of the impact of epidemic prevention, employee rework, material supply and logistics transportation.

So what is the start-up situation of pickup truck companies so far?

Smooth resumption of work is the key, and resumption of work does not mean reaching production.

In 2020, the original order of the automobile market will be disrupted, and the normal "development time" will be shortened after enterprises resume work. At present, the highway transportation capacity has not been restored, and the automobile enterprises are faced with such a situation that there is only room for waiting, no room for choice and decision-making, and the overall recovery will take several months.

According to the statistics of China Automobile Industry Association, as of February 12, only 59 of the national 183 vehicle production bases have resumed production, accounting for 32.2%. Another survey by the Association shows that * * there are more than 300 vehicle and parts factories, and the delay in returning to work leads to an average of 7- 1 1 day less than in previous years (of course, Hubei is longer). Judging from the data disclosed by some provinces, less than 60% of industrial enterprises above designated size in Liaoning, Sichuan and Shandong have resumed work, and the rate of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises will be even lower. In addition, Suzhou, Zhengzhou, Taiyuan and other cities clearly stipulate that the construction project will resume work later.

According to statistics, most pickup truck enterprises have started work normally, while some enterprises (such as Dongfeng Yufeng, Qiling, etc.). ) The area in South China where the epidemic situation is serious has not yet started, and the overall construction will probably start in full after March.

Returning to work does not mean reaching production, and many of them are just offices or certain departments returning to work. Some pickup truck enterprises only realize partial and small-scale resumption of production, and normal resumption of production still needs some processes and procedures. At the same time, many auto parts manufacturing industries are located in Hubei Province, and the severity of the epidemic directly leads to the failure of the parts manufacturing industry to start production normally, which also affects the production capacity of pickup trucks.

The dealer's progress in returning to work is not satisfactory.

The epidemic continued, the holidays were extended, and the sales of 4S shops under the automobile line were cold. Many pickup truck dealers and car companies are trying their best to help the epidemic areas, but they are also trying their best to "save themselves" and make efforts online. Many salespeople registered short video accounts, such as Tik Tok and Atto Faster, and sold cars through short videos and live broadcasts.

At present, only 20% of downstream car dealers have resumed work, and poor sales will also affect the production recovery of the automobile industry. The relevant person in charge of a 4S store dealer in Beijing said, "Unless there is urgent business to deal with, customers are generally not advised to come to the store in the near future." "Not all businesses can handle sales, after-sales and backstage. Some business segment leaders have not returned to their posts or are in isolation, and can only handle some businesses. "

For dealer sales staff, income is also a big problem. Most employees in the industry pay their basic salary during holidays, but the basic salary of automobile dealers is extremely low, almost entirely relying on sales commission. Although in this case, the wage pressure of most dealer companies is not so great now. But if it continues, the company's operation may also have problems.

Open the "new start-up mode" under the epidemic situation

On the premise of ensuring the health and safety of employees, most pickup truck companies carefully plan to resume work, and some dealers are actively optimistic about resuming work, taking adequate protection and disinfection measures to ensure orderly operation.

Subject to offline marketing, mainstream pickup truck companies have chosen the "new retail" strategy of online sales and offline services. In addition to auto companies' own applications, many third-party platforms also provide online sales platforms for 4S store systems.

Judging from the current statistics, pickup truck companies such as Great Wall, Zhengzhou Nissan, Jiangxi Isuzu, Futian Tuolu, Chang 'an, Jianghuai and Zhongxing. All the "zero contact" programs have been launched, that is, consumers can look at and book cars online (VR), and local dealers will deliver fully disinfected new cars to customers' homes.

Although the current epidemic has had a huge impact on the automobile industry, this impact will not last long, and everything has two sides. It is still too early to evaluate the epidemic situation of pickup truck market in the whole year. In the face of the epidemic, we should actively take protective measures to survive the epidemic period safely and smoothly!
