What is the theoretical basis of adolescent mental health education?

Psychological health education for teenagers is an important part of quality education, and it is an educational activity to cultivate students' good psychological quality, promote students' all-round and harmonious development of body and mind and improve their quality in an all-round way by using relevant psychological education methods and means according to the physiological and psychological development characteristics of teenagers.

Adolescent mental health education, including psychological consultation, psychological counseling and psychotherapy, is a developmental education for all students. It pays attention to a few students with mental illness and attaches importance to psychological consultation and correction, but the object of mental health education is all students. It is necessary to promote the positive development of all students' psychological quality, improve their ability to correctly understand themselves, control themselves, bear setbacks and adapt to the environment, cultivate their sound personality and good psychological quality, and help them fully understand and develop their psychological potential. The task of mental health education is divided into three levels: developmental, preventive and corrective, with emphasis on developmental and preventive tasks.

Mental health education is closely related to moral education, but it cannot be replaced by moral education, nor can it replace moral education. Students' psychological problems cannot be simply attributed to ideological and moral problems. Attention should be paid to prevent the medical and disciplinary tendency of mental health education. Mental health education can not be divided into the teaching of psychological knowledge and the education of psychological theory.

In the process of mental health education in primary and secondary schools, we should be careful to use test scales or other testing methods, and we should not force students to accept psychological measurement. The scale and test method used must be scientific, and we can't simply draw a conclusion through the scale test. The results of psychological tests and students' psychological problems should be kept strictly confidential.
