Historical Evolution of Jinghu Hospital

Jinghu Hospital is an unofficial medical and health institution in Macao and the largest private hospital in Macao, which belongs to Jinghu Hospital Charity Association. Established in 187 1 (ten years of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), it is a non-profit charity hospital initiated by Chinese in Macao. From 65438 to 0892, Dr. Sun Yat-sen went to Hong Kong College of Western Medicine as a volunteer doctor and became the first Chinese western doctor in Macao. Over the past century, the hospital has developed into a comprehensive medical base of considerable scale, adhering to the spirit of helping the world and the poor and serving the health of Macao citizens.

Jinghu Hospital originally only provided Chinese medicine services. The young Dr. Sun Yat-sen graduated from Alice College of Western Medicine in Hong Kong on 1892 and went to Jinghu Hospital to practice medicine, becoming the first western doctor in this hospital and the first Chinese western doctor in Macao. 1986 A bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen stands in front of the main entrance of the hospital. Every June 10, activities are held to commemorate the Revolution of 1911, and speeches are given on cross-strait relations.

1935, Dr. Kelin, who is also the representative of China * * * manufacturer in Australia, served as a compulsory teacher of compulsory western medicine and Jinghu Nursing School, devoted himself to hospital construction, and obtained the operation right of local China doctors. The dean system was established in 1946, and Link was the first dean, who served concurrently as 1979.

Jinghu Hospital in Macau was founded in the 10th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 187 1). This is a charity hospital founded and managed by China people. At first, the purpose of running a hospital was to send medicine, relieve difficulties, promote learning and teaching. Jinghu Hospital is a temple-style hospital with simple facilities, which mainly provides Chinese medicine services. From 65438 to 0892, the young Dr. Sun Yat-sen graduated from Yali College of Western Medicine in Hong Kong and went to the Jinghu Hospital in Macau to practice medicine. He founded western medicine and volunteered to serve the people. He has a good medical skill, and thanks to poverty, he is famous in Haojiang.

From 65438 to 0935, Dr. Link served as a compulsory teacher in Jinghu Hospital and Jinghu Nursing School. He devoted himself to the medical construction in Jinghu, improved the clinical division system, promoted the development of western medicine, established operating rooms, X-ray rooms and examination rooms, organized western medicine advisory groups, and strived for the right of local Chinese medicine surgery. The dean system was established in 1946, and Dr. Kling was the first dean. He worked for more than 30 years without any money, actively improved medical technology, trained medical personnel, improved the structure of medical departments and medical equipment, and gradually built Jinghu Hospital from a humble detention center into a comprehensive hospital with complete departments, and made great achievements.

Jinghu Hospital was originally the name used in the early days of the establishment of Jinghu Hospital Charity Association. With the development of charity, the number of affiliated institutions increased, so it was named Jinghu Hospital Charity Association when it was registered with the Macao government on 1942, and Jinghu Hospital became one of the affiliated institutions of Jinghu Hospital Charity Association. Jinghu Hospital Charity Association has the Supreme Council, the Council and the Board of Supervisors. Dr Ma Wanqi, vice chairman of China People's Political Consultative Conference, is the chairman of this charity. The charity consists of Jinghu Hospital, Jinghu Nursing College, Jinghu School, Jinghu Funeral Home and Qin Si Garden.
