The eight criteria of college students' mental health are as follows:

I. Normal intelligence

This is the basic psychological condition for college students to study, live and work, and it is also a necessary psychological guarantee to adapt to the changes in the surrounding environment. Therefore, when measuring, the key lies in whether they play their role normally and fully: that is, they have a strong thirst for knowledge, are willing to learn and can actively participate in learning activities.

Second, emotional health.

The main signs of emotional health are emotional stability and a happy mood. Optimistic and cheerful, full of enthusiasm, full of vitality, full of confidence, full of hope for life, good at controlling and regulating their emotions, not only restraining constraints, but also moderately venting, not excessively depressed, and normal emotional response.

Third, the will is sound.

Will is a psychological process to push people to take various actions and overcome difficulties to achieve their predetermined goals. People with a sound will can show more consciousness, decisiveness, toughness and self-control in the actions to achieve their predetermined goals, overcome difficulties with wit and flexibility, persevere without being tempted by the outside world, and have many bad habits that are difficult to correct, such as lack of initiative, indecision, recklessness, fear of difficulties, stubbornness, easy to be hinted at, easy to change goals, and even exposed to the cold.

Fourth, personality integrity.

Personality refers to the unique synthesis of a person's stable psychological characteristics. Personality integrity refers to a sound and unified personality, that is, a personality with harmonious psychology and behavior. Mental health college students can adapt to the changes of living environment, keep good contact with reality, actively face various challenges, properly handle the relationship between environment and themselves, and create conditions to keep themselves in a favorable environment all the time. Psychologically unhealthy college students are the opposite.
