Breeding method of Ji Xingmei
1, temperature and lighting
Jixing Renmei likes a dry and sunny growing environment, and is cold-resistant and afraid of water and humidity. The suitable growth temperature is 13-23 degrees, and the winter temperature is not lower than 5 degrees. When it is hot in summer, it should be shaded properly, but the shading time should not be too long, otherwise the stems and leaves are tender and prone to lodging, and can be cultivated in sunny places in autumn. The sunshine in the growing period can be full sunshine. When the sun is strong, plants will become short and crawl on the ground, and the color will be very charming blue, very cute. If the light is short, it is easy to grow tall after long-term shading, and the leaves are not compact and obvious, and it is easier to fall off, which is not beautiful.
2. Water and fertilizer management
Jixingrenmei is drought-resistant and barren, and does not need fertilization. Generally, watering is based on the principle of drying thoroughly without watering. In summer, it is necessary to keep watering, and extend the watering frequency and interval at most. You can water it once a month, instead of soaking it in the pot, you can choose to water it in the evening or at night. When it rains, strictly control watering, so as not to cause water accumulation in the basin.
3. Breeding mode
The propagation of Jixingmei with rotating leaves is generally carried out by cutting, usually by branch cutting and leaf cutting. When leaves and branches are laid flat on the breathable and slightly wet soil surface and kept in a cool and ventilated place, they will soon take root and sprout, and then you can see the direct light step by step.
4. Soil farming
Jixingmeiren is not very strict about soil cultivation. Coal cinder can be mixed with peat soil, and soil preparation is still relatively random, so attention should be paid to ventilation.
Points for attention in summer reproduction of Jixingmei
1, ventilation
I think this is the most important thing to spend summer on a sunny day. I can even say that if your environment is very well ventilated, you can stop drinking water all summer! Because even if you accidentally pour more water, the circulating air will soon carry more vapour band. Most flower lovers raise meat on the outdoor balcony, and the ventilation conditions of the balcony can generally meet the basic requirements of spending the summer in sunny days, so don't worry too much. However, for friends who keep meat indoors, ventilation is basically a luxury. In such an environment, please try to reduce the indoor temperature, control watering, and ensure the humidity of soil and environment as low as possible.
2. Red pottery basin
I said that the red pottery basin is a summer artifact, and maybe my friends who have kept meat for more than a year will not object. The reason is that the red pottery basin is too breathable. After watering, water vapor can even seep out from the basin wall slowly, and you don't have to worry about root rot if the water is too big. But the permeability of porcelain pots and plastic pots is very poor. For novices who can't master watering, use it as little as possible in summer. All the expensive goods in my house are potted red pottery, which is constantly watered for shade. After several summers, no one was killed.
water
If the environment is well ventilated, the plant material is breathable, and the flowerpot is breathable, it can be completely dried and watered all summer. But be sure to master the watering time, and never water at noon when the sun is strong, because the temperature is already high at noon, and the soil moisture will rise rapidly after watering again. What Jingtian fears most is high temperature and humidity, so it will make Jingtian unbearable. It's best to water in cool and windy nights in summer. After watering, after a night of evaporation, the next morning you can find that the water vapor in the soil has almost evaporated.
4, with soil
There is no fixed formula for this, and the general requirement is ventilation. If you use a red pottery basin, you can add more peat. If you use a porcelain basin, you need to add more particles. The formula of my soil is as follows, for your reference, peat: perlite: particles (ruby, deer algae, sunflower, etc.) =2: 1: 1, with a small amount of plant ash and bone meal as base fertilizer.
5. Light and shade method
If your plants are completely potted and the environment is well ventilated, you can completely avoid shading, at least for me, and because of the abundant sunshine and proper moisture in summer, the color of Sedum is very gorgeous. Who says Sedum can only shine in autumn and winter? However, no shading is only suitable for Sedum alfredii. For Sedum alfredii without serving basin, it is necessary to shade it properly for the sake of insurance.
Maintenance method of jixingmei
Earth: Jixing Meiren can mix peat with cinder and breathe freely. The beauty of Jixing still grows very fast. Each branch will grow many thin fibrous roots, which can grow independently, and each branch can grow into a very beautiful pot.
Watering: The principle of Jixing Renmei's watering is to dry thoroughly. Water can be stopped in summer, and the watering time can be extended at most once or twice a month. Choose to water after sunset in the evening, not soak the basin. Knowing the growth habit of Ji Xingmei, I believe everyone will raise it well and beautifully.
Propagation methods: common sowing, cutting and ramet propagation.
Sowing: February-May, indoor potted planting. The optimum temperature for germination is 18-2 1℃, and it germinates in 12- 15 days after sowing.
Cutting: it can be carried out all year round, and it is very easy to survive, especially in spring and autumn. Cut short branches with tight leaves at the top, 5-7 cm long, and insert them into the sand bed to keep the soil slightly wet. After insertion, 10- 12 natural root. Single-leaf cutting is also possible. Mature fleshy leaves can be spread on a sand bed and sprayed with water several times. After a few weeks, they will take root from the bottom of the leaves and grow seedlings.
Cultivation management: when changing pots in spring, add the mixed soil of fertile garden soil and coarse sand, and add a small amount of humus soil and bone powder. At the same time, the stems and leaves should be trimmed properly, and it is not advisable to water the potted plants too much. During the growing period, apply fertilizer 1 time every month, but the application amount should be controlled. Too much nitrogen fertilizer will cause internode elongation, leaf emptying and poor posture. When summer is hot and bright, the fleshy leaves will be bright green with proper shading, but the shading time should not be too long, otherwise the stems and leaves will be tender and prone to lodging. It can be placed in a sunny place in autumn, and it is best to keep the room temperature at 10℃ in winter, reduce watering, keep the soil slightly dry, slow down the growth of Jixingmei, and make the stems and leaves compact and beautiful. If the pot soil is too wet, the stems and leaves are easy to grow in white, and they will freeze and rot at low temperature.
Pest control: Leaf spot and rust sometimes occur, which can be prevented by spraying 50% carbodan 800 times. Pests do great harm to aphids and scale insects, spraying 50% chlorpyrifos EC 1500 times.
Jixingmei reappears
Jixingmei Sowing: Generally, it is carried out from February to May every year, and indoor potted planting is adopted. The suitable temperature for germination is 18-2 1℃, and it germinates in 12- 15 days after sowing.
Cutting of Jixing Beauty: It can be carried out all year round, and it is easy to survive, especially in spring and autumn. Cut short branches with tight top leaves, 5-7 cm long, insert them into the sand bed, keep the soil slightly wet, and take root after cutting. Single-leaf cutting is also possible.
