Praise life with art —— Notes on visiting the World Illustration Exhibition "Missing it means missing the beauty of illustration for half a century". Finally, we can't resist such tempting propaganda and temptation. On the Mid-Autumn Festival reunion day, our family of three walked into the National Classic Museum in Beijing and visited the 50th anniversary exhibition of International Andersen (Lifetime Achievement Award) and the world illustration exhibition being held there. Twenty-five international Andersen Prize illustrators and 300 original works came across the sea, which brought us a lot of longing and expectation.
Standing in front of the National Classical Museum, we were first attracted by a huge staircase painting. This is an illustration of Ugly Duckling, which covers almost the whole step in front of the museum. There is an illustration exhibition icon in the upper left corner. Such a huge painting suddenly excited us, and the children skipped upstairs with their father.
The entrance security is very strict. Food and drinks are not allowed, and tin boxes of chewing gum are not allowed. You should keep your backpack. However, after the introduction, the huge publicity board still attracted a lot of attention. The organizer chose the most famous gorilla (the protagonist of anthony browne's works) as the poster, which attracted people's attention. The gorilla's mouth turned up, his eyes were sad, and there was a lovely kitten sitting on his head. This painting is very vivid. Children don't like dark gorillas and refuse to take pictures. We go straight to the ticket office. Package for two 147 yuan, children's ticket to 55 yuan. Children are free in many places because there is not enough 1㎡, which has been bothering her. I am very excited to have my own children's ticket this time.
Before entering the exhibition hall, I was attracted by a row of portraits of Andersen illustrator winners on the wall. Each book is marked with the award-winning year and representative works. These painters from different countries are unfamiliar to the children, and their names are hard to remember, but the children still find the names of many classic picture books she has seen, such as Frog Frog, The Magic Queen of Colors, Xiao Kai's Home is Different, Three Robbers and Country of Beasts.
In order to prevent children from browsing, I bought a brochure with 20 yuan. Everywhere I have been, there will be a button that children can operate by themselves. However, children will not obey any arrangement of adults. After entering the exhibition hall, she went straight to the frog sculpture. Children have been fascinated by the book The Story of Frog's Growth for a long time. The little frog in striped pants in the book attracted her deeply. She once made me read 12 books at one go. The author of this picture book is Max Versius from the Netherlands. Unexpectedly, in the face of the master's original works, the children swept away and went straight to the interactive experience area. There is a big screen where you can freely choose illustrations and fill colors at will. However, children find it interesting and play it over and over again. While the children were having fun, I read the original carefully. The picture is colorful and unpretentious without much painting skills. It is this well-known little frog that permeates many important life issues such as friendship, love, life and the world to children and soothes the hearts of growing children.
Unexpectedly, among the works of these illustrators, there are works that have been banned, such as "Animal Country". Opening the reading records two years ago, it was written impressively that the children were not afraid of these monsters with blue faces and fangs at all, but happily named them, and she also strongly demanded to buy a set of wolf clothes with tails like michaels (the name of the protagonist in the book). You can imagine how much children liked this book at that time. It is such a book that was once banned in the library, but good books will eventually be found. Maurice sendak's name was included in the list of 1970 Andersen Illustration Award. When we walked into the original and really watched it, we felt that it was very detailed and exquisite.
In addition to the work being banned, the author is also banned. Tomiungeer from France won the illustration award with 1998. His children's books have been banned in American libraries for more than 20 years because of his creation of Forgive Everything. The book we are familiar with is his Three Robbers, which the children have been leafing through the other day. At that time, I was a little puzzled. Although the ending of this story was warm, the robbers were evil and dark after all. But children actually like this book. In this exhibition, she stopped for a while in front of the original work and asked me how those blues were painted.
There are many works by anthony browne in this exhibition, such as Gorilla, The Voice in the Park, Willy the Dreamer and so on. Because children don't like dark and fierce gorillas, we haven't read many of these books, but in this exhibition, children discovered the subtlety of this surrealist master, and the little details hidden by the painter deeply attracted her. "Mom, that gorilla is wearing a pair of banana shoes." "Mom, that microphone turned out to be a banana." The closer you look, the more interesting you will find. It seems that we will like gorillas in the future, and this series of books can be borrowed.
There are also many works by masters in this exhibition, some of which are familiar to everyone and some of which are unfamiliar to everyone, but you can follow the picture and enjoy reading with your children later. Together, we made a simple list of books: Gorilla Series, Loud Mom, Mr. Moon, Travel Picture Book, Su He White Horse, Children in the Marsh, Little Charcoal Burner, Bears with Long Ears, Fantastic Animals, and so on, as simple as possible.
Out of the exhibition hall, some picture books were displayed in the corner. Many of them were not sold separately, but as the theme of this exhibition, and 50 books were sold as a whole. After the discount, they cost more than 3000 yuan. I read it carefully. This set of books is from a publishing house in Taiwan Province Province. The whole book is in traditional Chinese characters, which is not suitable for children in literacy period. Fans can collect it. In the souvenir area, we chose a picture book with ugly duckling illustrations as a souvenir.
The two exhibition halls of this exhibition are not big. We spent nearly two and a half hours, some playing and some watching. The children learned something by reviewing the old ones. Personally, although I am not very proficient in painting, I still feel very pious when I see the paintings of the masters. They take every stroke of every painting seriously. Take those gorillas for example. When we carefully observe, we will find that among these tens of thousands of hairs, each one is carefully painted without any scribbling and perfunctory.
Praise life with art, and let us feel the innocence and beauty of the world through the 50th anniversary of Andersen Illustration Award. Those exquisite paintings will be transformed into the power of love, injected into children's hearts and become a belief.

Grandpa, referring to elders, has changed in usage:
1, the original meaning refers to the father, or generally refers to the father level of men. For example, the ancient poem "When a woman hears about her, she will help her out." .
2. There are two main uses in modern times:
(1) The mainstream usage refers to a grandfather, or a grandfather-level male. This usage exists in most parts of this country.
(2) The secondary usage refers to the father, or generally refers to the paternal man.
