What problems should be paid attention to in the newly opened straw can?

Bottom sand

First of all, choose bottom sand, and don't underestimate the importance of bottom sand. Different bottom sands can often determine whether a fish tank can stand up.

If you have tropical marine fish or tropical freshwater fish and need hard water, choose coral sand. But if you want to build an aquatic pond, silica sand and black gold sand will be a good choice, because the particle size of silica sand is very suitable for aquatic plants to take root and not float. Suitable for root development of aquatic plants.

After selecting the bottom sand, clean it up before putting it in. If this action is ignored, there will be a lot of impurities in the water after the new water tank is set, and it will not be cleaned after changing the water. So instead of getting twice the result with half the effort in the future, it is better to clean the bottom sand before putting it in.

The laying method of bottom sand is low at the front and high at the back, creating a layered feeling. Of course, if you like other different shapes, such as landscaping with high left and low right, it is also a good choice.

In addition, if you plant aquatic plants, in order to make them develop well, you can pour all 2/3 first.

Bottom sand and bottom fertilizer are mixed, and the remaining 1/3 bottom sand is covered after mixing. After the cover is covered, it is ready to add water, but please note that if water is added directly, it will definitely rush to the bottom sand just thrown out, and the base fertilizer will be exposed. Therefore, we suggest putting a basin on the bottom sand and directly injecting water into the basin, which can be avoided. At this point, it can be said that 1/3 has been completed.

Release filter

Install the filter you choose according to the type of filter. Of course, the submerged filter is placed in the fish tank, the cylindrical external filter is placed outside the fish tank, and the trickle filter or the upper filter is placed on the fish tank. A special pneumatic filter should be connected to the air pump; If you have a bottom surfboard in your fish tank, don't forget to connect it to the submersible motor.

There is no trick to install the filter screen, but it should be placed in a place where it is easy to take the filter cotton when cleaning in the future. Pay attention to whether the wire of the filter screen leaks electricity because it touches the fish tank.

Put the light away.

Put the bought lamp holder well, basically put the lamp in front, because on the one hand, it can provide more light sources for the grass in the foreground, on the other hand, it will be brighter when you appreciate it. Of course, dark places in the rear can also provide hiding places for fish that are more easily frightened.

Usually, the plug of the light is connected with a timer. You can set the time when the light is automatically turned on and off, which can not only cultivate the normal physiological clock of the fish, but also save you the trouble of turning on and off the light on time.

Put the thermostat away.

Constant temperature system refers to heater and cooler. If the temperature can be adjusted after storage, please set the temperature between 24℃ and 28℃.

Remind novices to plug in the heater after it is completely put into the water, so as not to burn it out. Some heating devices have temperature sensors, so please remember to put them in water. If you put it in the air, it is easy to heat it until the whole pot of water boils because you can't feel the water temperature.

Gas release equipment

Basically, it is the water flow disturbance caused by the filter screen, or the submerged filter screen is connected with a trachea to pump air into the fish tank, and the dissolved oxygen in the water is enough for the general fish tank. But if the feeding density is high, or if big fish are raised, it may be necessary to supplement it with an air pump. You can connect a plastic pipe from the air pump and put a bubble stone in the water. The air passing through the bubble stone will be crushed and dissolved into the fish tank, which will cause high oxygen content.

As for carbon dioxide, it is for aquatic plants. The complete set of equipment includes: carbon dioxide cylinder, solenoid valve, pressure gauge, bubble counter, check valve and diffuser. The cylinder is connected with a pressure gauge and a solenoid valve, followed by a bubble counter and a check valve, and then the bubble counter is connected with a diffuser placed in water. If possible, please place the diffuser as far as possible in the deepest part of the cylinder.

Because the whole set of carbon dioxide equipment is not cheap, novices can make up for it by increasing the frequency of changing water, enhancing illumination and supplementing fertilizer if they want to save money. Some players think that carbon dioxide is not needed, but well-developed aquatic plants need to be injected with carbon dioxide, but injecting carbon dioxide may not necessarily raise aquatic plants, and other factors conducive to the growth of aquatic plants must be parallel at the same time to have better results.

Now that the water tank and filter are ready, can we start raising fish? The answer is no, the new fish tank is like a newly renovated house, which contains a lot of harmful substances. After we decorate the house, we always open the window for two months, and then move in when the smell dissipates. Everyone is life, don't be so inhuman to small fish, so the first step of the new tank is of course to "raise the tank".

Yes, I'm not wrong. Not to carry water, but to carry a vat. Of course, it needs to be drained. Wash the tank several times, then fill it with water and sprinkle him with some bags of salt. Don't ask me how much, as long as you like, go on. Strong brine will remove all germs, odors and unstable glass glue on the surface, and that's it.

After the water tank rises, clear all the water in the water tank. Step two, of course, is not fishing. We are going to carry water next. To put it bluntly, there are two purposes: 1 aging a jar of water, and 2) cultivating nitrification.

At this time, you should first imagine what your future fish tank looks like. If you want to make a landscape, first wash the landscape hardware and put it down, then fill a tank of water and turn on the pump. Don't tell me that you don't want to open it, and don't tell me that you are afraid of noise. Then I still advise you to give up raising fish. Otherwise, it's not bad for you to keep a few loaches. From this moment on, your pump will not stop unless the water is changed, the power is cut off or it is broken. Nitrification depends on the current in your tank to survive. When a nitrification community forms in your water tank, if you stop the water flow for 4 hours, nitrification will start to die. After 12 hours, nitrification will kill a lot. Congratulations, you can cultivate nitrification again, because there is nothing in your tank.

After putting the water in and turning on the pump for three days, we can start fishing for some peacocks or zebras. We call them open aquarium fish. Although it is not a good fish, we should also pay attention to morality. Don't fish as soon as the water is released, let people drink fresh chlorine water. Otherwise, if the fish can talk, it will certainly greet your family. Basically, we will start with the open-tank fish and formally cultivate nitrification. These fish don't need feeding. Peacock can eat particles floating in water, and so can it. It happens to be the food in the early stage of nitrification. Your nitrification is too little at this time. Just a pee has been busy with them. There is no need to add any bottled nitrification or powdery nitrification. These are not good things. People often ask that the nitrated and slimed particles bought are not normal. I can tell him clearly that you have been cheated. What you bought was not nitrification or pseudo-nitrification. Really good nitrification is clear and tasteless. Let go of the open fish and raise it slowly. In general, the water extraction time should be 2 weeks 1 month. Don't turn on the light during this period, just turn on the pump 24 hours a day.

Generally, it takes about 8 weeks to establish a complete nitrification system, and many new fish friends often can't stand such a long time. Here, I'll tell you a quick way: you can borrow filter cotton from friends who have fish farming. The older the better, you can rub the old filter cotton in your tank. At this time, the water should be brown and turbid. Although it looks dirty, don't worry. When the filter rotates, the water will be clarified and nitrifying bacteria will begin.

If you keep marine fish, you must adjust the sea water. One liter of natural seawater contains 35 grams of salt. You can buy seawater and stir it at home, and add 35 grams of salt to a liter of water.

Be sure to stir well after adding. After the sea salt is completely dissolved, measure the specific gravity with a hydrometer. If the specific gravity is between 1.020 and 1.024, it can be put into a fish tank. However, if it is lower than 1.020, it means that you have not added enough sea salt, or the sea salt is not completely dissolved in water; If the specific gravity is above 1.024, it means that you have added too much sea salt and need to add more water to stir.

Novices often use the salt at home as sea salt. In fact, a lot of "iodine" has been added to the salt by artificial addition, but some elements are missing (most of the seawater elements now add some elements to facilitate the reproduction of invertebrates), and the average edible salt will not be cheap per gram. Let's go to the aquarium!
