Step 2 wake up
Some cats stagger when they wake up. At this time, the anesthetic has not been completely exhausted, and the cat has been unconscious. Be sure to follow her, and be careful to avoid bumps and injuries and cats jumping, especially female cats, which may lead to abdominal ligation and massive bleeding.
Some cats will wake up and sleep for a long time. As long as their temperature, pulse and breathing are normal, there will be no problem.
The male cat will urinate in the back row after waking up, which is very big. And because of the anesthetic, he often chooses a place where he doesn't urinate at ordinary times to solve the problem, such as a bed or closet. At this time, try not to stop him by threatening, and it is best to prevent and guide him.
It should be normal for some cats to get blood and orange urine. Observe the follow-up reaction closely.
Soon after waking up, the mother cat will clash with the gauze skirt wrapped after the operation, licking and tearing. You can use small scissors to cut off the parts that seriously hinder the cat's movement, so as to alleviate the discomfort of the cat.
You can consider wearing Eliza white-collar for cats, but this method is not advisable for cats with bad temper and arrogance. You should try to keep the cat calm after the operation. You can also consider making cotton surgical gowns for cats to protect the incision. Surgical gowns should be breathable and comfortable to avoid incision inflammation.
For the female cat after operation, the most important thing is to ensure that there are no accidents such as infection and injury before stitches are removed. Don't take off the original dressing of the cat in the hospital without authorization, but put the homemade surgical gown on the outside for protection.
Because the ovaries, fallopian tubes and kidneys to be removed by the mother cat are intertwined, once there is any mistake in the operation, the cat will not be able to urinate, and the consequences will be unimaginable. So, when your cat can pee, you can breathe a sigh of relief.
Postoperative diet:
It is recommended to go to the pet hospital to buy canned formula cats, feed them for 2 days after operation, and then slowly change back to ordinary canned cats and cat food. Reason:
1. There are antibiotics in the special prescription tank after operation, which can prevent postoperative infection. Personally, I don't advocate intravenous drip of antibiotics after operation, and I don't think it is necessary. If properly cared for, cats and those are not easy to get infected. A large number of antibiotics will not only interfere with the cat's own immunity, but also affect the cat's kidney function, leaving hidden dangers.
2. Specially designed for cats with loss of appetite after operation, which can stimulate appetite. Because of the side effects of anesthetics, coupled with the weakness of cats after surgery, it will definitely seriously affect the appetite of cats. Induce the cat to eat, not too much at a time, it is enough for two people to finish eating. It can be heated to body temperature if necessary.
3, balanced nutrition, will not lead to constipation or diarrhea. For cats after operation, especially female cats, constipation must be avoided, and cats can easily cause ligation to fall off when exerting force.
If you can't buy canned formula after the operation, you can independently:
Chicken paste+chicken liver paste+fish paste (beef sauce)+eggs (chicken liver must not be big)
Stir well, without any seasoning, and steam.
Add 1/6 tablets of Xianfeng VI 1 tablet of lactase every time the cat is fed (at least twice a day is recommended). (The drug can be stopped 3 days after operation)
Ensure the supply of cat food and water at ordinary times.

Male cat surgery is a minor operation outside the body and does not require stitches. It basically returned to normal 2 days after operation, and there was no suture removal problem.
The female cat was removed at least 7 days after operation (7- 10 day). It's best to go to the hospital to remove stitches so that doctors can check the wound healing.
If you have to take out stitches for your cat at home,
Equipment preparation: alcohol lamp, alcohol (70% for medical use), pointed medical minimal scissors, tweezers, cotton swabs and absorbent cotton.
Specific operation:
Operators will wash their hands (remove the dirt hidden under their nails with a finger brush) and rinse them with running water for 3 times. Immerse in drops (or 84 solution) 10 minute, dry naturally, and don't wipe with a towel. Don't touch anything easily with your hands.
