Greenguard Environmental Research Institute (GEI) is an independent non-profit organization, which is responsible for supervising the greenguard certification program. As a standard developer authorized by ANSI, GEI's mission is to improve public health and quality of life through indoor air quality improvement projects. GEI Advisory Committee is composed of experts and volunteers in indoor air quality, public and environmental sanitation, design and architecture, public policy and other fields to guide the work of GEI.
The history of greenguard
GEI was established in June, 20001year, aiming at establishing an honest third-party product certification project. This project is based on the established volatility standards and the existing low volatility product resources, and the designated professionals are responsible for product certification. GREENGUARD certification project is a project in which low volatile products and raw materials are tested by an independent third party. In 2005, GEI issued "greenguard Standards for Children and Schools" for special-purpose school buildings and sensitive school people, which is the most stringent product volatility detection standard so far. GREENGUARD certification is a very useful tool for architects, designers, product sorters and buyers, which can help them identify low-volatile products that can be purchased at any time and are friendly to indoor environment. GREENGUARD certification is a voluntary project, open to all manufacturers and suppliers.
About greenguard Construction Project
In 2006, GEI started the construction project of GREENGUARD, aiming at confirming the design, construction and operation of new multi-user buildings and commercial buildings at the first time, so as to reduce the risk of mold.

Tv series of the same name
Greenguard is the first long TV series in China that reflects the development of the Armed Police Force and pays attention to forest protection and forestry ecology. It was jointly produced by the Political Department of the Armed Police Headquarters, the State Forestry Administration, the Forest Command of China Armed Police Force, Asia Forum Newspaper and Hubei Radio and Television General Station.
