Does the security door have radiation? Will it affect your health?

The subway security inspection machine, like the security inspection equipment at the entrance and exit of railway stations, airports and important departments, is a kind of equipment for detecting items. There are many kinds, the most common is the channel X-ray machine. To put it simply, X-rays are obtained by using the principle of imaging when X-rays pass through the security inspection machine. The images are processed by a computer, and recognizable images are displayed on the computer screen to evaluate the safety of goods. This is similar to the human X-ray examination in the hospital, but the difference is that the X-ray dose of the security machine is much lower than that of the medical X-ray equipment, and its tube current is 0.4 ~ 1.2 Ma, while that of the medical chest X-ray machine is at least 50mA, that is, 50 times. There is no doubt that there must be a certain dose of X-rays in the studio inside the security inspection machine, but the human body will not be exposed to the rays unless it enters. The key question is whether there is radiation leakage around the security inspection machine. If there is a leak, it may have a certain impact on the staff who have been in contact for a long time, but it has little impact on the temporary passing. Generally speaking, the security inspection machine that has passed the inspection will not have this possibility and should be safe. Its standard leakage dose is 0.05? Gy/h( 1Gy is approximately equivalent to 1000mSV or 1Sv), which is close to the natural radioactive background.

It has been reported recently that when the side of the machine is 5cm to 10cm away from the machine surface of the security inspection machine, the data detected by the staff holding the instrument is 0. 1μSv/h to 0.2μSv/h, which is close to the value measured in the natural environment, that is to say, there is basically no radiation leakage from the side of the machine. The staff put the detector at the baggage entrance and exit of the machine about 10cm, and the measured value here is slightly higher, ranging from 0.7μSv/h to 0.8 μ SV/h. The staff of the security inspection machine concluded that the radiation leakage at the baggage entrance and exit of the security inspection machine is the highest, and the farther away from the security inspection machine, the smaller the radiation leakage. According to China's Basic Standards for Ionizing Radiation Protection and Radiation Source Safety (GB 1887 1-2002), the annual dose of artificial radiation received by the public should not exceed 1mSv. According to the calculation, a person standing at the entrance and exit of the security machine is about 10cm, and it will reach this amount without moving for 52 days. For professionals, the average annual dose stipulated by the state does not exceed 20 mSv, and they can stay for 2.85 years continuously. Therefore, it can be said that this radiation value is actually very low, which is not enough to cause radiation damage to the human body. When pregnant women pass the security inspection machine, it will not affect the baby in the abdomen. There is no need to care, let alone worry and panic. Be careful not to let your body enter the X-ray inspection area of the security check (don't rush to the X-ray inspection area to get something).

Whether radiation has an impact on human body depends on the amount of radiation received at one time, the total amount of radiation received, the time of receiving radiation, and the adjustment function of human body to these radiations. As an ordinary person, he receives the most medical radiation because of the need of diagnosis and treatment. There is a basic principle in medical irradiation, that is, the legitimacy, optimization and dose limitation of exposure radiation, that is, there is a legitimate reason to choose the most superior technology and equipment and receive a small amount of radiation within a certain limited range in order to obtain the maximum benefit. Because of the low radiation dose, the security inspection machine has almost no impact on the body, and generally does not affect the health of people around, including staff. This kind of equipment is a "conventional weapon" used by the security department, and its reasonable and standardized use is beyond reproach. As for how to standardize, how to layout, how to manage and how to reassure the people, it is other issues worth discussing.
