The race route passes through the Bund, Nanjing Rd. Pedestrian Street, Jing'an Temple, Huaihai Road, Xintiandi, Huangpu Riverfront, Longqi Road. The detailed route is subject to the announcement before the race.
08 Registration Dates
(I) Mass Runners
(1) Pre-registration: from Nov. 3 afternoon to Nov. 5 at 17:00, closed out of date.
Important note: Participants must register for the accompanying code (Shanghai Area Health Code) before pre-registration, and the personal ID bound to the accompanying code must be the same as the personal ID bound to the registration account.
(2) Announcement of lottery results: November 7 afternoon
(3) Payment: November 7 afternoon after the announcement of the lottery results to November 8 at 19:00, the late payment is considered to give up the qualification of registration, and may not be through any other way to obtain the tournament.
(2) Through the Shangma runners
November 3 afternoon to November 6, 17:00, late registration is considered to give up registration qualification. After registering and paying the fee, Direct Runners will not be required to participate in the lottery and will be qualified to participate in the race directly.
(3) 2021 Shanghai Marathon Reservation Runners
Those full marathon runners who have qualified for the 2021 Shanghai Marathon and have chosen to reserve their places for the 2022 Shanghai Marathon (including Shanghai Marathon Charity - Shanghai Marathon charity runners) are not required to take part in the registration process, and will be eligible to participate in the race directly. This is also subject to Article 9(1) of these Regulations, which prevents non-residents of Shanghai from participating in this event.

09 Participation Methods
(a) Age and Qualification for Participation
1. Participants of the marathon shall be 20 years old by December 31, 2022, and prove that they are healthy, adhere to long-distance running exercises and are suitable for participating in the race.
2, the event is limited to registration for the Shanghai resident population, the Shanghai resident population includes the following:
(1) Shanghai household registration personnel, must be registered with the ID card to participate in the race (including collective household registration personnel, need to be based on the first page of the household registration and the page of the person's own household registration);
(2) non-Shanghai household registration, must be based on the ID card and the Shanghai residency permit registration to participate in the race;
(3) Hong Kong and Macao residents in Shanghai must apply with a Hong Kong and Macao Resident Entry and Exit Permit and a Hong Kong and Macao Resident Permit;
(4) Taiwanese residents in Shanghai must apply with a Taiwan Resident Entry and Exit Permit and a Taiwan Resident Resident Permit;
(5) Foreigners in Shanghai must apply with their passports, visas, and proof of residency in Shanghai for six months.
(2)Physical Requirements for Participants
Road running is a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance competitive sport, and a high-risk athletic program, which requires a high level of physical condition of participants, who should be in good health, and have a long-term basis for running exercise. People with the following conditions should not participate in the Shanghai Marathon: congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease; hypertension and cerebrovascular disease; myocarditis and other heart diseases; coronary artery disease and serious arrhythmia; diabetes with high or low blood sugar; pregnancy; colds within two weeks before the race day; other unsuitable for sports.
(3)Qualifications for Runner Registration
Runners who are qualified for the through qualification must meet the requirements of the 2022 Shanghai Marathon Race Regulations and registration instructions, and log on to the Shanghai Marathon website or the Shanghai Marathon APP to complete the registration and payment within the stipulated time, and failure to register will be regarded as a waiver of the qualification. If the through runner does not meet the registration and participation requirements of Shanghai Marathon this year, the Organizing Committee will retain his/her through qualification until 2023 (he/she has to meet the registration and participation requirements of Shanghai Marathon in 2023). Note: The Organizing Committee reserves the right to arrange different zones for runners with through registration according to the actual capacity of the Start Staging Area. The requirements for qualifying for the through runner registration are as follows:
*100 participants of the 2021 SJM Online Running who have won the through quota through the lottery.
(D) epidemic prevention measures
1, all participants in the event, real-name registration registration, 100% implementation of the "with the application code" green code access system, while signing the "health and safety responsibility commitment" before the race.
2, participants must be completed before November 11, 2022 (not included) full new crown vaccination and provide a valid vaccination voucher.
3. All participants must meet the requirement that they have not left Shanghai within 7 days prior to the collection of the race equipment (i.e. from November 17, 2022 onwards), and they are not allowed to leave Shanghai during the period between the collection of the equipment and the race day.
4. All participants are required to show proof of a negative nucleic acid test within 24 hours on the day of collection; and show proof of a negative nucleic acid test within 24 hours before entering the race on Nov. 27th.
5. All participants are required to register for the accompanying code, and the binding ID number of the accompanying code is the same as the ID number used for registration.
6. The tournament does not accept registration from participants from medium- or high-risk areas. If the risk index of the new crown epidemic in the participant's area rises to medium- or high-risk areas during the period between successful registration and the start of the tournament day, the organizing committee will disqualify him/her from participation and refund the registration fee.
7. The Organizing Committee will verify the green code (including but not limited to the Suishen Code, National Health Code and Yangtze River Delta Code) of all participants within 14 days before the race. If the green code status is abnormal before the race, the Organizing Committee will disqualify the participant and refund his/her entry fee.
8. Since 14 days before the race (i.e. from November 13th), all participating runners are required to carry out personal health monitoring records through the official website of Shangma or the Shangma APP, and fill in the body temperature truthfully. All participants shall complete the nucleic acid test 3 times (1 time per day and 1 time within 24 hours before the race) 3 days before the race. If there is no corresponding negative certificate of nucleic acid test when collecting the equipment, they are not allowed to participate in the race. When entering the race, you must present the negative nucleic acid proof within 24 hours and pass the face recognition equipment to check before entering the race. (3) People returning to Shanghai who have a history of living in the region, key areas of concern, key areas, etc.; (3) People who are under closed-loop management or "7-day centralized isolation medical observation + 3 days of home health monitoring", "2-day closed-loop management + 5 days of self-health management" or "7-day home isolation medical observation + 3 days of home health monitoring". 10. The Organizing Committee will equip the pre-event equipment collection venue, the starting and finishing points of the event and other related areas with epidemic prevention supplies for the use of the participants, and the participants and related personnel shall wear masks correctly when entering the above areas.
11. On the day of the race, the organizing committee will set up infrared temperature measurement and "digital sentinel" verification channels in the main venue area. Participants with abnormal body temperature must cooperate with the epidemic prevention personnel for further inspection; for participants with abnormal health conditions or non-green code, the organizing committee has the right to terminate their participation in the race, and the registration fee will not be refunded.
12. Only participants with number bibs are allowed to enter the main venue area of the event, and accompanying relatives are not allowed to enter.
13. Except during the running period, participants must wear masks correctly and follow the staff's arrangement in the event area.
14. The organizing committee has provided disposable masks for the participants at the finish line area, please wear them correctly after receiving them.
15. After finishing the race, runners should listen to the staff's instruction, do a good job of personal protection, and leave the main venue area as soon as possible, without staying for a long time.
16. Participants should raise the awareness of epidemic prevention during the race, avoid physical contact with other runners as much as possible in the track, and keep a safe distance.
17. Participants shall complete a nucleic acid test within 48 hours after the race, and those who fail to complete the test as required will not be able to obtain the race results certificate.
10 Competition Methods
(1) The World Association of Athletics Federations (WAAF) Competition and Technical Rules, WAAF Labeled Road Running Rules, China Association of Athletics Federations (CAAF) Marathon Race Related Management Measures and the Competition Regulations of this event will be adopted.
(ii) The starting format of split shotgun start is adopted.
(c) Participants' numbers will be issued by the Organizing Committee. All participants are required to fix their number bibs (large) in front of their bodies. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel their race results if they fail to wear their number bibs, fold or cover their number bibs according to the regulations; those who fail to wear the chip according to the regulations, resulting in the failure of the timing point to record the results, will be disqualified from the race results.
(d) Participants must be on November 27, 5:30 a.m. before the starting point according to the competition items and number cloth classification, respectively, partition assembly, in front of each partition organizing committee has set up a check carpet, in the race after the gun, the contestant must first pass the check carpet of the partition, and then through the starting point of the timing carpet results to be valid.
(5) The method of accepting the rankings: the ranked prize players will be accepted in accordance with the results at the time of the gun, and other players will be accepted in accordance with the results of the timing chip.
(6) The organizing committee will provide the inductive chip timing service for the participants, who must wear the inductive timing chip, and the organizing committee will not be responsible for any failure to record the results due to failure to wear the timing chip correctly.
Requirements for wearing the timing chip:
1. Wear the number cloth with the timing chip pasted on it on your chest;
2. Do not cover the number cloth with the timing chip pasted on it with your clothes or fanny packs;
3. The timing chip and the foam on the number cloth must not be folded, torn, damaged or removed;
4. Participants must step on the timing induction carpet on the track in the course of the race. The timing induction carpet on the track.
(7) The race will start with a gun, the induction timing chip will start timing (net timing) at the start point and there are timing induction bands at the start point, every 5 kilometers, the return point, the finish line, etc. Participants in the process of running into the race, they must pass through all the ground timing inductions, to complete the race within the closing time, the results of the race process lack of any timing point, will not be ranked, and can not generate performance certificates. and no result certificate can be generated.
(viii) The race provides participants with clothing storage services. Participants must use the jersey bag issued by the Organizing Committee and insert/attach a small number cloth with the same number on the jersey bag, which will be stored in the corresponding jersey cart at the starting point before 6:45 on the day of the race, and then go to the same jersey cart in the finishing area to collect the jersey before 14:30 after the race with the large number cloth. If you do not collect your bib after the collection time, please go to the designated place by the Organizing Committee within 5 working days after the race to collect your bib, after that, the Organizing Committee will treat it as unclaimed. Please do not store valuables (such as valid documents, cell phones, cash, watches, all kinds of keys, other electronic products, etc.), fragile, flammable and explosive and prohibited items in the bag, and the responsibility for any damage, loss or safety accidents will be borne by the participants.
(ix) Drinking water stations and supply stations
Note: Participants are not allowed to dispose of any paper cups, bottles, cans, peels, bags and masks, etc., which should be sorted out and put into the corresponding garbage cans or handed over to the staff/volunteers of the Organizing Committee in the vicinity.
(J) Closing Distance and Time
In order to ensure the safety and smooth running of the race, each section of the race route will be set up with a closing time during the race, and will be closed to social traffic for a limited period of time. After the closing time, the corresponding section will be restored to social traffic. During the closing time, participants who have not finished the corresponding distance must stop the race immediately and exit the track to avoid danger. If necessary, participants who have withdrawn from the race can take the shelter car provided by the Organizing Committee or take public **** transportation to the finish line by themselves.
Closing time will be calculated according to natural time:

11 Rewards
1. Prizes
(1) Athlete Ranking Prize (RMB)
The top eight men and women of the Athlete Ranking Prize will be ranked and rewarded in accordance with the results of the shotgun time. If a participant fails to pass the doping control result, his/her ranking and award will be canceled, and his/her performance ranking will not be replaced.
(2)Record Breaking Award
Breaking the Shanghai Marathon race record, a reward of RMB 80,000 yuan (only the first place).
2. The results of all award-winning athletes will be released after the official website of the event has been publicized for 10 days and confirmed that there is no doping problem. All prizes will be subject to 20% personal income tax in accordance with the Individual Income Tax Law of the People's Republic of China.
3. Those who finish the marathon within 6 hours and 15 minutes will be issued with a finisher's medal, and a certificate of achievement will be made available for download at the official website of the Shanghai Marathon at the end of the 10 working days after the online results are announced, and the certificate of achievement will be available for download for a period of 90 days, and the results can be queried 24 hours after the race.
12 penalties
The organizing committee will carry out video monitoring of the starting point, route and finish line. If one of the following problems occurs during the race and/or race-related activities, the organizing committee will, depending on the severity of the case, respectively give the participant a penalty of cancellation of the results of the Shanghai Marathon, a ban of two years and a lifetime ban, and will report to the China Association of Athletics Federation (CAAF) for additional penalties:
1, registration of false ages or false identities, or registration of false identities. False age or false identity registration;
2. A runner carrying more than 2 (including 2) chips to participate in the race at the same time (including male runners carrying female runners' chips);
3. Completing the race by relay;
4. Starting in a non-designated area without following the prescribed starting order;
5. Violating the rules of the start;

13, violating the epidemic prevention requirements stipulated by the organizing committee;
14, violating the rules of the organizing committee. The behavior of epidemic prevention requirements;

Those who use false information to obtain qualification, those who transfer the number bib to others after registration and those who do not have qualification will be responsible for all the consequences that occur during the race.
13Participation Insurance and Medical Care
(1) The Organizing Committee will purchase personal accident insurance for all participants and staff during the competition (the specific types of insurance and the amount of insurance shall be subject to the final policy). If the participants are unable to purchase the insurance or the insurance is unable to make a claim due to the incomplete, inaccurate or untrue filling of the information on the registration, the organizing committee will be responsible for all the legal liabilities (including but not limited to the inability to obtain the insurance claim) that may be incurred. If a participant is unable to purchase insurance or is unable to make insurance claims due to incomplete, inaccurate or untrue registration information, all legal liabilities arising therefrom (including, but not limited to, the inability to obtain insurance claims, etc.) shall be borne by the participant.
(ii) the Organizing Committee of the race in the start, finish and along the way to set up a fixed medical point, 50 meters before the medical point has a clear sign; along the participants of the run into the route, there is a first aid car to follow; the Organizing Committee of the race will be in the fixed medical point, the water station to arrange for volunteers and staff, to assist in the medical treatment and maintenance of the race order, the participants have problems at any time you can ask for help.
Special Instructions:
1. If the participant suffers from physical discomfort and related diseases and symptoms (including but not limited to heat stroke, fainting, etc.) due to his/her own reasons (including but not limited to chronic diseases, invisible diseases, and lack of physical endurance) during the race, and if the insurance company ultimately determines that it does not belong to the scope of the claim, all the legal responsibilities and consequences (including but not limited to heat stroke, fainting, etc.) will be taken into account by the organizing committee of the race. If the insurance company determines that the claim is not covered by the insurance company, all the legal responsibilities and consequences (including but not limited to medical expenses, loss of work, disability compensation, death compensation, etc.) shall be borne by the participant himself/herself, and have nothing to do with the organizing committee. Participants are advised to assess their own health conditions carefully before registering!
2. The organizing committee will provide free, first-aid medical treatment during the race, which is limited to what can be taken at the scene. Any expenses incurred during the subsequent treatment at the hospital will be settled between the participant and the hospital, and then the participant can apply for compensation from the insurance company or negotiate with the insurance company by himself/herself, and the organizing committee can provide the necessary data and information to support the process.
3. If a participant suffers personal injury or death due to doping or other prohibited drugs during the race, all legal responsibilities and consequences (including but not limited to medical expenses, loss of work, disability compensation, death compensation, etc.) shall be borne by the participant himself/herself.
4. In order to safeguard the lives of the participants, the race judges and staff authorized by the Organizing Committee shall have the right to terminate the race for those participants who are obviously unable to continue the race.
