Airports may also include VIP services, including services such as expedited check-in, dedicated check-in counters, dedicated departure or arrival lounges, priority boarding, separate boarding air bridges and priority baggage handling. These services are usually reserved for first and business class passengers, top frequent flyers, and airline club members.
Value-added services may sometimes be open to members of other airlines' frequent flyer programs. This is sometimes part of a reciprocal agreement when multiple airlines all belong to the same alliance, or part of a competitive strategy to lure top customers away from other competing airlines. In addition, airlines sometimes offer these value-added services to non-VIP passengers to compensate for serious delays or baggage handling errors.
Sick and disabled passengers -- When purchasing a ticket and traveling on a flight, a valid certificate of fitness for travel issued by a hospital at or above the county or municipal level must be provided. The diagnostic statement must be issued within 96 hours from the time of boarding the plane, have the hospital's seal and doctor's signature, and have the words "suitable for boarding the plane before so-and-so day".
At the same time, the airlines have restrictions on the number of disabled passengers on each flight: blind or deaf passengers are limited to two; stretcher passengers are limited to one; different wheelchair passengers have different restrictions on the number of passengers, cabin wheelchair passengers and passenger elevator wheelchair passengers **** two, the number of apron wheelchair passengers to receive an unlimited number of passengers.
Stretcher passengers - must be accompanied by at least one physician or paramedic for travel. A family member or guardian may also travel with the patient when certified by a physician that the patient does not require medical attention while traveling. Requests must be made no later than 72 hours prior to flight departure.
Elderly people - China Southern Airlines stipulates that passengers who are over 65 years old and have mobility problems, or even must use equipment to travel by air, can be treated as special passengers and given special services. If you ask the airline to send another attendant to accompany you at random, you should also pay the corresponding service fee.
Pregnant women--Pregnant women who are 32 weeks pregnant or less can travel by air, except those who are diagnosed by a doctor as unsuitable for traveling; those who are more than 32 weeks pregnant (some airlines stipulate that they are 35 weeks pregnant) should produce a certificate of diagnosis from the appropriate doctor and give a truthful explanation to the airline in advance.
Blind travelers with guide dogs - Blind travelers must make a request to carry a guide dog when applying for a seat reservation, and can do so only after approval by China Southern Airlines. A guide dog that meets the transportation requirements of China Southern Airlines can be carried by a blind passenger free of charge and transported in the passenger cabin, or loaded into the cargo hold separately. Blind passengers carrying guide dogs should provide the necessary quarantine certificates, and only one guide dog can be transported in the passenger cabin of each flight.
In addition, the airline reminds passengers who need special services that they should purchase tickets in advance and inform the airline; arrive at the airport of the departure station as early as possible (stretcher passengers should arrive at the airport 3 hours in advance on the day of the flight), and go through the relevant procedures.
