Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine was founded in 1844
In October 1999, the East Hospital of Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine was completed and put into use.
In 2005, the surgical building of Renji East Hospital was completed and put into use.
In 2008, the Cadre Health Care Complex was completed and put into use.
In December 2008, groundbreaking of the new outpatient and emergency medical and technical complex of the third phase of Renji Hospital was started as a major practical project of the Shanghai Municipal Government.
In October 2010, the Oncology Clinic and Renji Hospital were "united as one institution". The Institute of Oncology is located on Xietu Road and consists of the State Key Laboratory of Oncogenes and Related Genes, the Laboratory of Tumor Epidemiology, eleven related research groups, the auxiliary department of the public **** service platform and the editorial office of the journal Oncology.
In February 2011, Renji West Hospital officially launched the comprehensive reconstruction project. in July 2013, the reconstruction of the inpatient building was completed and successfully opened. It is currently in the remodeling stage of the outpatient building and is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
In November 2012, the new outpatient and emergency building of Renji East Hospital was completed
On December 12, 2012, the South Hospital of Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the "Renji South Hospital") was fully opened
In July 2013, the North Hospital of Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine was fully opened. The North Hospital was fully opened.
