How to use the grounding resistance tester?

Technical requirements for setting digital grounding resistance tester

(1) The grounding resistance tester shall be placed at a distance of 1-3 m from the test point, and shall be stable and easy to operate.

(2) Each pin must be in good contact and firmly connected.

(3) The two grounding pins should be 20m and 40m away from the left and right sides of the grounding body to be measured. If the two pins are connected by a straight line, the grounding body to be tested should basically be located on this straight line.

(4) Do not use other conductors to replace the pure copper conductors of instruments with lengths of 5, 20 and 40 meters.

(5) If the grounding resistance tester is centered, the included angle between the two pins and the tester should be at least 120 and should not be set in the same direction.

(6) The two pins should be placed in solid soil, not in soil, backfill soil, tree roots, grass, etc.

(7) The test can only be carried out after seven consecutive sunny days after the rain.

(8) The grounding body to be tested shall be derusted first to ensure reliable electrical connection.

Function of grounding resistance tester

(1) Accurately measure the grounding impedance, grounding resistance and grounding reactance of large grounding grid.

(2) Accurately measure the surface potential gradient in the large grounding grid area.

(3) Accurately measure the contact potential difference, contact voltage, step potential difference and step voltage of large grounding grid.

(4) Accurately measure the transmission potential of large grounding grid;

(5) Measuring soil resistivity.
