The LM4562 is a high fidelity dual op amp introduced by National Semiconductor in recent years. It has very low distortion, only 0.00003% total harmonic distortion and noise (THD + N). In other words, the distortion of this op amp is almost negligible.

The LM4562 features extremely low distortion, low noise, high slew rate, wide operating voltage range and high output current. The performance is unprecedented. Due to the advantages of this operational amplifier, it is suitable for professional and high-end audio systems such as audio and video system receivers, preamplifiers, audio decoders and hi-fi amplifiers, as well as various medical imaging systems and industrial equipment.

Extended Profile

The LM4562 features a unique design with a built-in, high-speed 6MHz unity-gain bandwidth operational amplifier and a proprietary stereo audio driver amplifier. Under standard operating conditions, the op amp has an input noise density as low as 2.7nV /√Hz, an IF noise figure of 60Hz, and an output current of 26mA to drive a 600Ω load. The LM4562 has a slew rate of 20V /μs and a gain-bandwidth product of up to 55MHz.

The LM4562 is stable over a supply voltage range of ±2.5V to ±17V, with a maximum output current of up to 45mA. Operating over these supply voltages, the input circuitry has a ****-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of over 108dB, while the input bias current is as low as 10μA (typical).
