Eligibility for admission to the family wards of cadres in tertiary hospitals

In China, a tertiary hospital is a public hospital directly under the Ministry of Health, or under the authority of the people's government at or above the provincial level, or the people's government of an autonomous region or municipality directly under the central government. These hospitals usually have a variety of specialties and high-level medical equipment, as well as professional medical staff.

In a tertiary care hospital, the qualifications for admission to a ward are usually reviewed by the hospital's registration department or nurse's station. In general, patients need to register at the hospital and then decide whether they can be admitted to the ward based on their condition and the availability of hospital beds.

For family members of cadres in tertiary hospitals, the eligibility to be admitted to the ward is also examined by the hospital's registration department or nurses' station. Family members of cadres are required to provide relevant supporting documents and are vetted on the basis of their condition and the availability of hospital beds.

However, in practice, due to the limited number of hospital beds, the eligibility for ward admission is usually determined by priority. Generally, higher priority is given to critically ill and emergency patients, followed by general patients. Family members of cadres may be less eligible for admission.
