What is porcelain tooth surgery?
Porcelain teeth refer to artificial crowns composed of metal or ceramic substrates and porcelain covering their surfaces, which are widely used in clinic because of their high strength and beauty. Restoring missing teeth, tooth defects, discolored teeth, tetracycline teeth, deformed teeth, malocclusion and those who have high requirements for tooth aesthetics is an old-fashioned efficacy and cosmetic repair skill. Porcelain teeth are characterized by good biocompatibility, optional color, stable color, no irritation and wear resistance. Because of the high simulation of porcelain teeth, many stars and white-collar workers have joined the porcelain teeth family.
There are three kinds of clinical porcelain teeth: 1, precious metal porcelain teeth, 2, nonmetal porcelain teeth and all-ceramic teeth. All-ceramic crown, after grinding off a layer (about 1.0- 1.5mm) on each outer surface of the tooth, cover the whole tooth with special all-ceramic material to restore the shape, efficacy and beauty of the tooth.
Precious metal porcelain teeth and nonmetallic porcelain teeth, also known as porcelain crowns, are made by grinding a layer (about 1.5-2mm) on the outer surface of teeth, using metal as the inner crown, and sintering the metal surface with special dental porcelain teeth materials at high temperature, thus restoring the shape, strength and beauty of teeth. Due to the existence of metal inner crown, the mechanical strength is higher than that of porcelain veneer and all-ceramic crown.
