The China Rehabilitation Research Center is a comprehensive rehabilitation institution and technical resource center that integrates rehabilitation medical treatment, research on rehabilitation science and technology, training of rehabilitation personnel, rehabilitation information service, rehabilitation engineering research, and guidance on social services.
It consists of functional divisions, operational divisions, the Institute of Rehabilitation Information, the Institute of Rehabilitation Engineering, the Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, the School of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the Center for Social Service Guidance. The "Center" covers an area of nearly 300 acres, with a building area of 150,000 square meters and more than 1,373 employees.2022 In June, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Medical Insurance added the China Rehabilitation Research Center (Beijing Boai Hospital) as a Class A designated medical institution.
The China Rehabilitation Research Center is China's only Class III Class A rehabilitation specialty hospital, with more than 41 outpatient, emergency, clinical care, clinical rehabilitation, rehabilitation technology and medical technology departments.
It has set up specialized treatment centers such as Amputee Consultation Center, Hemiplegia Treatment Center, International Cooperation Center for Speech and Hearing Rehabilitation, International Cooperation Center for Children's Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation, Cataract Treatment Center, Holmium Laser Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Center for Urology, Cerebrovascular Disease Treatment Center and other specialized treatment centers, and it owns 47 sets of equipments of more than 100,000 yuan, and now the actual open beds have reached 1,100 sheets.
The China Rehabilitation Research Center (CRRC), a nationally owned institution directly under the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF), is a comprehensive rehabilitation institution and technical resource center that undertakes the rehabilitation of disabled persons, the research of rehabilitation science and technology, the training of rehabilitation personnel, as well as information and social services. It is a key construction project under the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" of the State, and was inaugurated on October 28, 1988.
