Cost allocation
Ambulances, as special vehicles equipped with specialized medical equipment and emergency personnel, are not free and are not covered by health insurance. The cost of an ambulance generally consists of two parts: the cost of the ambulance and the cost of the pre-hospital emergency.
The ambulance fee
The ambulance fee includes a fixed fee for the use of the vehicle (the starting price) plus a kilometer charge, and a waiting fee if there is a wait for the vehicle. The fees are standardized by provinces and cities and are based on a standardized basis.
Pre-Hospital Emergency Fee
Pre-Hospital Emergency Fee refers to a series of fees for first aid, medicines, and medical supplies that are incurred before being sent to the hospital. Some cities also charge a stretcher fee based on the elevator or staircase room, and the fee varies from floor to floor.
