Zhangzhou College of Health Professions (former Zhangzhou College of Medicine and Nursing Professions) is a full-time public higher vocational college, formerly known as the Zhangzhou School of Health in Fujian Province, a national key secondary school founded in 1934, and a pilot college for the "Excellence in Doctor Education Training Program" of the Ministry of Education.
Now the college has established seven teaching departments: Department of Nursing, Department of Clinical Medicine and Medical Technology, Department of Pharmacy, and Department of Basic Medicine, Department of Basic Public ****, Department of Information Technology, Department of Adult Education.
The Department of Clinical Medical Technology was established in 2005, formerly known as the Zhangzhou Health School Clinical Department, consists of nine teaching and research departments (Internal Medicine Teaching and Research Department, Surgery Teaching and Research Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology Teaching and Research Department, Pediatrics Teaching and Research Department, Preventive Medicine Teaching and Research Department, Traditional Chinese Medicine Teaching and Research Department, Stomatology Teaching and Research Department, Rehabilitation Teaching and Research Department, and Imaging Teaching and Research Department) and a clinical skills training center.
The Department of Clinical Medical Technology now has six higher vocational specialties, including Clinical Medicine, Dental Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Electronic Instrumentation and Maintenance, and Health Information Management, as well as an intermediate specialty in Rural Medicine. Among them, clinical medicine was founded in 1958, is the college to hold college level education for the earliest and longest traditional backbone of the profession, more than half a century, for the province and the city of grassroots medical and health care units to train a large number of practical medical specialists, the quality of graduates from the industry by the people affirmed and praised.
The Department of Clinical Medical Technology has good on- and off-campus training conditions. On-campus clinical skills training center building area of about 2880 square meters, advanced equipment, teaching, training, identification, qualification assessment in one, has become a good base for students to carry out professional skills training.
