When an old man dies at home, the younger generation usually does not put up red couplets from three years, but uses white, green and Huang San (when the funeral is not full). In the first year, the white couplets are put up, the yellow couplets are put up in the second year, the green couplets are put up in the third year, and the red couplets are restored in the fourth year after the funeral. Therefore, white, green and yellow couplets are called "filial piety couplets", "filial piety couplets" or "Ding Youlian".
