Time when health-related quality of life was introduced into medical field.
Health-related quality of life was introduced into the medical field in the late 1970s. Health-related quality of life is a related research in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, so the concept of quality of life includes health-related quality of life. According to relevant data, in the late 1970s, the medical community extensively carried out research on the quality of life, discussing the influence of diseases and their treatments on the quality of life, and formed the category of healthrelatedqualityoflife (HRQOL). At present, it is impossible to understand the concept of quality of life, and there is no accepted definition of health-related quality of life. The definition of HRQoL by FDA in the United States is that HRQoL is a multi-dimensional concept, which represents patients' general cognition of the impact of diseases and treatments on physical, psychological and social life. EMA defines it as patients' subjective cognition of the influence of their illness or treatment on their daily life, physical, psychological and social functions and happiness.
