In AD 1650, an old man named Lao Cheng came to Pozi Street in Changsha, the ancient city, and opened an unknown small pharmacy, which was the predecessor of Lao Jiuzhitang. Lao Cheng's son, Lao Ji, named the drugstore "Old Jiuzhitang" after his father's painting "Tianxiang Bookstore" (there are two laurel trees in the picture, which are expensive to grow).

In A.D. 19 18, the pharmacy encountered a bottleneck, and the people elected Lao Kun as the manager. He paid his own money in 300 yuan, enriched his working capital, and made every effort to rectify the store affairs and revitalize the pharmacy, resulting in a resurgence.

In 1930, the annual turnover of drug stores reached180,000 silver dollars. On the eve of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Old Jiuzhitang accumulated 400,000 yuan (including real estate).

1938+065438+ 10 this year, the "Wenxi" fire in Changsha destroyed the store and lost more than half of the funds.

In A.D. 1944, the Japanese army invaded Changsha, and the pharmacy moved to Lantian Town (now Lianyuan County) to operate on a small scale. It was not until War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression won that he returned to Changsha to resume business.

In A.D. 1953, the spring breeze of national liberation brought revival and revitalization to the old Jiuzhitang, and the private "Xinzhong Pharmaceutical Factory" was established.

In AD 1956, public-private partnership, centering on the old Jiuzhitang drugstore, merged several pharmacies, established Jiuzhitang processing factory, and designed and launched the trademark of "Zhi". Since then, the old Jiuzhitang drugstore has bid farewell to the long stormy course and entered a brand-new era.

1959 was renamed as "Jiuzhitang Pharmaceutical Factory".

1967 was renamed as "Changsha Chinese Medicine Factory".

On June 1993, "Jiuzhitang Drugstore Store" reopened in Huanglong, Huangxing Road, Changsha City.

In June, 2000, Hunan Jiuzhitang Co., Ltd. issued 40 million A shares to the public and listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange in the same month, raising 360 million yuan.
