Singapore

Sentosa

Sentosa is located in the south of Singapore Island, half a kilometer from the city center. This idyllic holiday island, its Malay name means peace and tranquility. It changed from a fishing village to a British base, and later became a holiday island at 1972.

The island is lush, with charming adventure parks, natural trails, museums and historical sites. Keep people away from the hustle and bustle of the city. People who love the sea can enjoy relaxing water activities on the beach. For those who love nature, Sentosa also has natural sidewalks-Dragon Road, Underwater World, Ji Hu Garden, Butterfly Garden and World Insect Museum. In terms of historical attractions, there are Fort Siroso, maritime museum and Vientiane Museum.

In terms of theme parks, there are Neverland, Flame Mountain and Golf Park. The Merlion Tower, which is 37 meters high, allows visitors to overlook the high-rise buildings in the urban area and surrounding islands from Sentosa. The musical fountain dances to the rhythm of the symphony after dark.

Sentosa is managed and developed by Sentosa Development Bureau, which also manages 10 smaller islands, including Guiyu Island, St. John Island, Sister Island and Ghost Island. These islands are a paradise for people who love swimming, diving and fishing.

The island also has its own transportation equipment. Visitors can travel to different destinations by monorail, bus and beach train for free. In addition, there are bicycle rental shops on the island.

Singapore Science Museum (I have been there, which is very interesting)

As early as 1969, at the initiative of the Singapore Science Council, the Singapore government decided to turn the National Museum into an art and history museum and set up a new institution specializing in science and technology education. The Singapore Science Museum, which is in charge of science and technology education, officially opened on 1977 12 10.

The Science Museum can be said to be an unofficial educational institution, which is specially designed for students and the public to transfer scientific and technological knowledge. Compared with the teaching method that pays attention to book knowledge, the Science Museum pays more attention to the learning ability of individual exploration, and holds innovative scientific exhibitions from time to time to show daily life and national development. Its mission is to hold exhibitions in natural science, life science, applied science, technology and industry, and to promote the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge.

The museum has seven exhibition halls, displaying more than 650 exhibits. Ordinary tourists can't see all the exhibits in one day. If you visit each exhibition in 5 minutes, it will take at least 7 days. In addition to exhibits, the Science Museum often holds various activities and seminars.

At present, the Science Museum has been renovated, and an annex building covering an area of 3,000 square meters and an outdoor interactive garden have been added. There is an auditorium in the annex, which can be used for exhibitions, lectures, conferences and symposiums. The interactive garden shows the relationship between light and wind, and can also be used as an outdoor exhibition to explain some scientific phenomena that cannot be presented in museums. After renovation, the Science Museum also has a new entrance.

I wish the landlord a happy trip!
