General health status in Henan province

Every winter solstice, jiaozi is an indispensable holiday meal in northern China, whether rich or poor.

As the saying goes: "On October 1st, when the solstice of winter comes, every family eats jiaozi."

According to legend, when Zhang Zhongjing, a medical sage, retired in his later years, he saw the frozen people and wrapped mutton, some cold-dispelling herbs and dough into the shape of ears to make a medicine called "cold-dispelling and charming ear soup" for the people to eat. After eating the cold-dispelling soup, people are hot, their blood is smooth, and their ears are warm.

People eat from the solstice of winter to New Year's Eve, fighting typhoid fever and curing frozen ears.

Later, on the solstice of winter, people imitated eating and formed a custom.

Jiaozi is a nutritious food, but do you know how to eat jiaozi healthily?

Listen to Professor Li Xian, Honorary Director of Hepatobiliary and Splenic Diseases Department of Henan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Zhang Zhongjing's "Quhan Joule Soup" mentioned above is to use mutton stuffing to warm the middle and dispel the cold.

2, coriander dumpling stuffing

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that coriander is warm and sweet, which can strengthen the stomach, promote digestion, perspire and penetrate rash, induce diuresis, relieve constipation, dispel wind and detoxify.

"Compendium of Materia Medica" says: "Coriander tastes fragrant, connecting the heart and spleen inside and reaching the limbs outside."

"Roche Medical Mirror" said: "Get rid of unhealthy qi, dispel cold, fever and headache, eliminate grain and accumulate food, defecate smoothly, remove clouds and get acne rash."

Chinese medicine believes that coriander is warm and sweet, which can strengthen the stomach, promote digestion, perspire, induce diuresis, relieve constipation, dispel wind and detoxify.

3, leek dumpling stuffing

Leek seeds are warm, and have the effects of warming liver and kidney, strengthening yang and fixing essence, and warming waist and knees. Indications for kidney deficiency and impotence; Abdominal pain due to internal cold; Choking diaphragm and nausea; Chest pain; Bleeding; Hematemesis; Urinating blood; Dysentery; Hemorrhoids; Carbuncle, sore, swelling and poison; Lacquer sore; Fall injury.

4. Fennel dumpling stuffing

Fennel seeds are condiments, and their stems and leaves are also fragrant, and they are often used as fillings for steamed stuffed buns, jiaozi and other foods.

Fennel, a traditional Chinese medicine, is warm in nature and pungent in taste, and enters the liver, kidney, spleen and stomach meridians. It has the effects of warming liver and kidney, warming stomach qi, dispersing stagnation, dispelling cold, relieving pain, regulating qi and regulating stomach. Can be used for treating abdominal pain due to cold hernia, testicular deviation, dysmenorrhea, abdominal cold pain, abdominal distension, anorexia, vomiting and diarrhea.

1. Vinegar: Vinegar has a good health preserving effect, which can help lower blood lipid and blood pressure. Jiaozi dipped in vinegar can also play the role of seasoning to relieve boredom, but people with gastric ulcer or hyperacidity are not suitable for jealousy, so as not to increase gastric acid, stimulate gastrointestinal mucosa and aggravate ulcers.

2. Soy sauce: In addition, some friends are used to dipping in soy sauce when eating jiaozi, which is unhealthy. Adding soy sauce will make people eat more salt, which is not conducive to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health.

3, Chili oil: Although Chili can stimulate fever, it is spicy and irritating, not suitable for cold and dry winter, nor for people with yin deficiency.

4. Raw garlic: Although jiaozi with raw garlic cloves is a kind of enjoyment, it is also a spicy product. For friends with stomach problems, it is better to eat less.

Jiaozi soup is a hot soup with starch dissolved, which can promote the secretion of gastric acid and digestive enzymes, thus helping digestion. But drinking soup after meals will inevitably lead to overeating, so you can drink soup before meals, just a small bowl; If you feel full after eating jiaozi, you don't need to drink soup, so as not to increase the burden on the stomach and lead to fullness and discomfort.

Jiaozi is not a particularly digestible food. You don't have to worry about lying or sitting after eating hot jiaozi. Standing for a while or walking slowly is helpful to the digestion of gastrointestinal tract.

Happy winter solstice, eat jiaozi healthily! I wish everyone a happy winter solstice!
