Amazon (Amazon for short; Nasdaq: AMZN) is the largest online e-commerce company in the United States, located in Seattle, Washington. Amazon was founded in 1995. At first, it only operated online book sales, but now it has expanded to a wide range of other products. It has become an online retailer with the largest variety of goods in the world and the second largest Internet enterprise in the world. The company name also includes AlexaInternet, a9, lab 126 and InternetMovieDatabase.
Amazon and other suppliers provide customers with millions of unique new goods, refurbished goods and second-hand goods, such as books, movies, music and games, digital downloads, electronic products and computers, home gardening supplies, toys, baby products, food, clothing, shoes and jewelry, health and personal care products, sports and outdoor products, toys, automobiles and industrial products.
In August, 2004, Amazon wholly acquired Joyo.com, combining Amazon's leading online retail expertise with Joyo's rich market experience in China, further enhancing the customer experience and promoting the development of e-commerce in China. In June of 20 16, Amazon ranked 8th among the global 100 most valuable brands in June of 20 16. 20 17 February, BrandFinance released the list of the top 500 global brands of 20 17, and Amazon ranked third. Ranked 12 in the Fortune 500 list released on June 7, 20/kloc-0. 20 17 June, "BrandZ 2065 438+07 Most Valuable Global Brands 100 Top" was released, and Amazon ranked fourth.
