Jay Chou's parents divorced when he was a child, and he grew up under his mother's painstaking upbringing.
When he was in elementary school, Jay was obsessed with music and showed an amazing talent. His mother, who had been looking forward to his son's success, chipped in to buy a piano for him. "Playing the piano, he tapped into his potential and slowly built up his musical "capital".
After graduating from high school, Jay didn't go to college and had to work as a waiter in a restaurant, where he was scolded by his boss and had his paycheck deducted.
Then, by chance, Jay was "spotted" by Wu Zongxian, the boss of Taiwan's music industry, and entered Wu's company as a music production assistant. In the meantime, he kept writing songs, the results were put aside by Wu Zongxian, and some were even thrown into the paper basket in front of him.
Jay Chou was not discouraged, Wu was moved by his efforts and promised the singer to sing his songs. However, many famous singers are reluctant to show their voice, because the songs he wrote are too rare and odd One day, Wu threw him a chance: 10 days, write 50 songs, and then pick 10, sing them yourself and make an album. Finally, his first album came out and immediately became a sensation in the singing world. The second album, "Fantasia," which immediately followed, took the pop music world by storm again.
Bing Xin has a little poem: "The flower of success/people only admired her present bright color/but her buds/soaked with tears of struggle/spilled with blood of sacrifice! Jay Chou's journey to fame is not exactly the most graphic and vivid interpretation of this poem?

Jay Chou: "Although I said I have to buy a car to make it look like a hippie, but still not *like* a black man, so dick, not Chen Jianzhou, is a black man in the United States."
This new favorite is considered a dream car, and Jay Chou is completely in love with it, but he has gone into a frenzy, but he has done something that has made the staff at the scene laugh wildly, the staff: "Sir, you don't have to close the windows on a convertible, do you?
In order to film the MV of "Broken Chord", Jay Chou woke up at 4:00 a.m. to comb and put on his makeup, and the director did not treat him poorly, following the "In the Name of the Father" and "Two Knives", there are boobies and foreign women playing rivalry, and there are beautiful women in "The East Wind" and "Sunny Day", and this time the director arranged for a female protagonist with a look similar to that of "Cecilia Cheung", so that the two of them can play the role of two young and innocent in the MV, and they will be blessed with a great deal of love and happiness! In order to make the entire MV more watchable, the director designed a number of Jay Chou and the heroine to talk about love scenes, hoping that the two will be able to have a good love affair in the MV, but Jay Chou is shy by nature, in the case of "fear of birth", the performance of the tied up hands and feet of the completely no * play acting, so that the director often shouted card, Jay Chou decided to play games with the heroine outside the scene first, and it was the staff ridiculed "childish" "turtle turtle turtle", "childish". The game was ridiculed by the staff as "childish", "Turtle Turtle Touch". At the beginning of the game, Jay Chou has been winning, the female lead suffered from him, constantly being pinched ears and cheeks, and then the other side of the victory, fierce to Jay Chou's face pinched hard, Jay Chou laughed and said: "Girls are really not to be messed with! Chou's image of print interviews is that they are quick and efficient, but he was impressed by this week-long magazine interview.
Not only did KATE spend a lot of time doing its homework and getting to know Jay's background, but this issue of TIME Asia, with Jay in it,
also set a record for the most space ever given to a Chinese-language artist in TIME's Asian edition. And the most let Zhou's jaw drop is,

3. "Dad! I'm back" was originally intended to be sung by Kang Kang (the song was written with Fong Wen Shan and called "Shake My Horse", which was returned when it was handed over to Xian, and then it was written as "Dad! I'm Back" to Kang Kang. (He said sing up strange, not good sing and back)

ps: So obviously the song that took the longest to write for the first album was "Black Humor".... Pure speculation
But Black Humor vs Quiet vs Split are all songs in the same key .... It could be a brother song...

'Once, as soon as he sat down, he started playing the national anthem, which was supposed to be very serious, and he adapted it to make it fun, kind of like a pop version of the national anthem.'
17. His first published work was Wu Zongxian's Taiwanese-language song "Three All Nights and Three Days"
18. Before Jay became famous, he wrote a song called "Tears to Know", which was recommended by Wu Zongxian to Andy Lau. Andy Lau only glanced at the lyrics and shook his head, saying, "How can tears know, what do tears need to know?" He immediately rejected the song. Immediately rejected the song! He really didn't know the good stuff. In the end, it was given to Wen Lan to sing, and the result was awesome. Jay's song. Fong's lyrics. The song is included in Wen Lan's "A Little Wild" album
19. Jay and Fong's first collaborative release was written for Jiang Hui's "The Sound of Falling Rain. The lyrics are also very strong. Jay, who is also very stubborn about his music, said, "It's my feeling," and that he couldn't change what he was feeling at that moment, which gave Fong a hard time.
21. Jay admires Fong from the bottom of his heart! "Don't look at him like this, but he's actually a really cool weirdo! He's got a bunch of weird ideas in his head! For example, he wrote me three versions of 'The Old Indian Turtle Dove', one of which was actually sarcastic. But then, after consideration, I thought, "I've got Eminem and Zhang Zhenyue doing the cursing, so I'll just go for the 'funny' route?
22. Fong revealed that there were actually two versions of the lyrics for the song Shanghai 1943, one was the "Shanghai" version and the other was a love song titled "no interest". Fong turned over the lyrics of "no interest", "I hate myself for falling in love with you without any interest, just to say that you are also here, just like this I love you without any reason, please believe that no one can replace you...". Jay's Dream
I was born on January 18th, 1979, and I was born very cute, and my family was full of laughter. My mom, Hui-Mei Yeh, was an art teacher at Tamkang Middle School, and my dad was a physics teacher at Tamkang Middle School. Originally, my mother wanted to cultivate my talent for drawing, but I was very sensitive to music. At the age of three, I was "recording" my own albums, singing and recording my own songs on a tape recorder at home in a decent manner, which won me praise from my mother, father, and grandma and grandpa.
When I was four years old, my mom took me to learn the piano, and I was able to repeat it after listening to it once, and my teacher praised me for my talent, and I was always very happy when I sat in front of the big piano. My mother is a woman who likes to pursue perfection, I went to elementary school, my mother in order to cultivate my piano level, she is ready to take out all the family savings for me to buy a brand-name piano, please the best piano teacher for my tutoring, but my father is opposed to it, the family is not rich, and then again, boys, a little bit of casual good. However, my mom still bought me a brand-name piano, and my dad had no choice. My piano teacher is the most famous pianist in Taipei, he thinks I am a piece of material, I am extremely strict, I practiced classical piano, whenever I play a wrong note, "pop" sound, a folding fan will hit the back of my hand, at that time, the back of my hand is always blue. Back home, my mother still does not let me go, in order to force me to practice the piano, she took a wooden stick and stood behind me, until I finished practicing the piano until, my childhood is much less childish, shed a lot of aggrieved tears, but I now understand, no solid foundation laid when I was a child would not have my today's musical achievements. Elementary school in the third grade, I was again cello sad poignant sound of the piano fascinated, mom for I want to learn the cello the same encouragement, so, the young age of my back than my tall cello every weekend to squeeze on the 262 road bus **** car to go to the music hall to learn the cello.
Just when I was learning music like a madman, I found that my father came home less and less, and had more and more quarrels with my mother, and I didn't know why, but I often found my mother crying alone. Later I realized that my father was having an affair. In order to save the family, my mom sent me to my grandmother's house temporarily. Although my grandma and grandpa were very nice to me, I was still silent, no longer have a laugh, I worship Chopin, but could not reach Chopin's realm, I also worship Bruce Lee, had secretly practiced nunchaku, all day long confused, my academic performance fell down, I was often depressed, often talking to my grandma's family's spotted dog, I was really depressed, I played basketball, ping-pong, and made myself very tired, then fall back asleep!
When I was in my second year of junior high school, the last thing I wanted was for my parents to get divorced, and I was 14 years old. By the time my mom picked me up from my grandmother's house, I had become apathetic and rebellious. When I took the joint high school exam, my total score was just over 100 points, and I didn't even get into a regular high school, so my life hit a low point. Mom went to the principal of Tamkang Middle School, hoping he would take me in, and the principal shook his head, "My grades are too poor, I can't help you!" Mom described my musical talent, and the principal told my mom that the first music class at Tamkang Middle School was enrolling. When I came back, my mom told me to take the test, and after I played the piano, I was told I was accepted. This time, I was desperate.
In middle school, I had a center-parted head, wide pants, was silent and expressionless, and when I didn't do well in school, my English teacher told my mom that I was mentally retarded. But my mom didn't accuse me or force me to study my homework, she said she believed me. My mom's words and actions gradually warmed me up, and one day, she found my song debut, "The Sky is Long", in my book bag, which was written for a girl I had a crush on. Mom saw the complete difference between my neatly copied sheet music and my usual scribbled homework, and she encouraged me that I would definitely have a future in music, I laughed, Mom was studying art, she didn't really know much about music.
From Tamkang to Taipei is a two-hour drive every day, I asked my father to buy me a heavy FZR motorcycle, so that it looks handsome, but my father said to buy a "little sheep" on the line, we fathers and sons on the ride safety or ride handsome fight, the result is that my father gave in, and bought me a used FZR motorcycle. I feel that my dad still loves me! I feel like my dad still loves me!
I didn't get into college after high school, and I prepared for two exams at Taipei University's music department and ultimately failed. Depressed, I cervical spine hidden pain, often so painful that I can not sleep at night, the doctor diagnosed with rigid spondylitis, more frustrating is that this disease can not be cured, can only rely on medication to relieve. I'm not sure how much I'm going to get out of this, but I'm sure I'm going to be able to get out of this one.
After the disease subsided, I went to work at a restaurant, where the owner used me to play the piano to attract customers, and business became more and more prosperous. At this time my mom enrolled me in Taipei Star TV's "Super Fierce Newcomer King," a platform that encourages and recommends musicians. With my mom's encouragement, I crafted a song called "Dreams Have Wings". I was really not confident in my singing, so I hired a singer to sing it, and I accompanied her on the piano. On the day of the performance, I was very awkward with the singer, causing the audience to boo, and I completely messed up one of my first performances. The host, Wu Zongxian, was the owner of Alpha Music, and after reading my score, he said to me, "Come work for my company tomorrow! This time, I was able to survive again!
After entering the music company, my mother was always worried that I would not be able to deal with my cold and inarticulate character. She often stood at the door of the company at the end of the day, prepared some delicious pizza and fried chicken for the employees, and asked them to please bear with me, and after a while, my mother was even more affectionate than the employees of the company with whom I worked. I cherished this opportunity and tried my best to write a lot of songs. My boss, Mr. Wu Tsung-Hsien, recommended me to many singers but no one wanted my songs. Finally, Wu Zongxian decided to give me one last chance to sing my own songs. And he asked me to write 50 songs within 10 days! I went back to the drawing board and locked myself up in my office to write songs, with my mom bringing me food every day and my dad calling me to give me encouragement. Wu Zongxian chose ten of my self-written and sung songs and made my first album "Jielen", which was sold out as soon as it came out. My second album, "Vantage", was an even bigger hit. The third album was dedicated to my mom and dad, this album I named after my mom "Ye Huimei", the first song was written for my dad "In the Name of the Father", and in the middle there was another song called "Grandma", which was written for my grandmother, so that there were dad, mom, and grandma in this album, even though my mom and dad have been divorced for many years, but in my dreams, I still hope that we are reunited as a family.
Mom and grandma always said that I couldn't sing with a clear bite, and hoped that I could write a song with a classical meaning with a clear bite, so "East Wind Break" was born, and my mom and grandma laughed and said that they could understand it! When I first became famous, my company planned my romance with Jolin Tsai in order to increase my popularity and let the media hype it up, so my romance with Jolin Tsai didn't actually exist, and I just wronged her, so I took the initiative to write a song for her to make up for my apology; later on, in order to publicize my album I had good cooperation with Hou Pei-Chen, a beautiful anchorwoman from a Taiwan TV station, and we had a good impression of each other, but we didn't develop into lovers in the end. But in the end we didn't develop into lovers because my mom advised me to fall in love later and not to look for people in the entertainment industry.
In 2006, when I was preparing for my new album "Still Fantastic," I visited Taiwan's former singer Fei Yu-ching, the star my mom admired most, on three separate occasions. In the end, Fei Yuqing was moved by my filial piety, gladly and I performed the new album's hit song "thousands of miles away", at the same time, I dipped into the ink of a song "listen to my mother's words" is also in it, that is, I am grateful to my mother from the bottom of my heart. September 10, the new album in Taipei autographs, I saw a child carrying a schoolbag, which reads: mother I will study hard! Tears fell from my eyes. I found the kid and signed for him, telling him to listen to his mom!
Before he became famous, he couldn't afford satin sheets or a Ducati motorcycle, and there were no stargazers screaming and reveling in his concerts, and even fewer teenage girls making pilgrimages just to touch the piano seat he sat on; all there was was was this little piece of gold flooring spaced from the leather sofa to the blue-green walls, nestled in a gray building in East Taipei, where Alpha Records had its recording studio.
This is the only place Jay had back then. A tiny crevice where he could curl up and take a nap, where he dreamed up melodies and lyrics over and over again, and when snippets of tunes sprang up like sleepwalking vocal cords, he would get up and stagger toward the keyboard, writing nighttime melodies into sheet music or recording them on demo tapes. ...... For two years, Jay was paid $20,000 a song for composing on a contractual basis.
He rarely leaves this seventh-floor soundproof booth, concentrating on writing songs for singers with mediocre talent and sellable faces.
In this packaging-heavy, idolized, fast-moving music scene, the 24-year-old's success is a miracle. Most other male singers from Hong Kong and Taiwan come from wealthy show business families. How in the world did this kid with overbite upper and lower incisors, a hawkish nose and an indented chin manage to replace Nicholas Tse, Andy Lau or Jacky Cheung as Asia's most popular pop star? The answer begins in that crowded recording studio, with the principle of winning with music and revolutionary creativity. Jay said, "Most of my female fans don't tell me that I'm handsome; instead, they tell me that they like my music and are attracted to it."
As a young man, Jay was, to put it mildly, a bit autistic and clumsy. A high school English teacher thought Jay had a learning disability: "He had a wooden expression on his face, and I thought he was clumsy." The kid couldn't concentrate in math or science class, and even his English homework was falling by the wayside. But Zhou's mother, Amy Yeh, noticed that the quiet and shy kid had been particularly sensitive to Western pop or classical music since he was a kid.
"He was keen on music even before he learned to walk." She recalled. Chow's mother sent him into piano classes when he was four, and he played it well, like a piano maniac. The high school piano teacher said Jay could improvise when he was a teenager. Out of the piano room, Jay was a perfectly ordinary teenager, watching kung fu movies and playing video games over and over again when all the other students were playing basketball in the neighborhood. While everyone else is busy preparing for a joint college exam, he's skipping classes, doubling up on his piano practice, and living life without purpose.
Music saved him and brought him luck. A schoolmate helped him sign up for "Super Rookie King," a Taiwanese idol contest. The program
