Tian Yaozu Hou Tianlai
Hou Tianlai, born in 1957, is one of the most outstanding actors in China, famous for playing villainous roles.
Hou Tianlai graduated from the Jilin Academy of Arts in 1982, and after graduation, he became a drama actor in the Jilin Provincial Drama Troupe. 10 years of training on the drama stage built a solid foundation for Hou's acting art.
In 1992, Hou Tianlai came to Changchun Film Studio, starred in hundreds of film and television productions, of which the main representative works are: "Bitter cauliflower", "Ice ware", "Tears flow freely", "Seventeen days of life and death", "Women behind the woman", "Extreme Crisis", "Transparent Sky", "Women are no longer silent", "State secrets", "Never let you go", "Sunrise", "The Wife", "With the enemy ****", "Sleeping", "Always come home to see", and "The Wife", "The Wife". Sleeping," "Look Home Often," "Sister-in-Law," "My Ugly Mother," "Behind the Tenderness," and more.
[Editor's note]Profile
Hou Tianlai's "late bloomer" is an apt description of his performance in "No More Silence for Women," which has made him well-known to audiences for more than 30 years. Many viewers know Hou Tianlai, but also thanks to the filming in Dalian, "Women Are No Longer Silent". In this drama, Hou Tianlai played the role of Wang Xiansheng, the editor-in-chief, who was hated by all. After that, Hou Tianlai played many other characters, but the one that impressed everyone the most was the perverted editor-in-chief. Talking about how to "women are no longer silent" in the Wang Hsien-sheng portrayed so in place, Hou Tianlai penetrated the "bottom": "I played Wang Hsien-sheng this pervert, has always thought that sexual harassment is a very normal thing, touching the hands of a beautiful girl is also very normal, it is this kind of thinking in the 'normal' idea! It was this 'normal' thinking that allowed me to portray Wang Hsien-sheng in a flesh-and-blood way. When an actor creates a character, if he or she has a 'bias' against the character as good or bad, it will easily affect the performance. So I acted with this idea of truthfulness in mind."
In "New Heroes and Tigers," he plays the head of a secret service hidden in a temple sweeping the floor, a sophisticated kind of person, and for the first five or six episodes of the play he sweeps the floor all the time and doesn't have a lot of lines, which would make the audience guess that the role is well played, but it's very novel for Hou Tianlai.
