What are the signs that a newborn kitten can't live?

There are several signs that newborn kittens can't survive:

1. Extremely weak: The kitten is so weak that it can't stand or walk or even suck milk.

2. Dyspnea: The shortness of breath, weakness or irregularity of kittens may be due to incomplete lung development or infection with diseases.

3. Hypothermia: The newborn kitten has a low body temperature, which may be below 35℃, possibly due to insufficient thermoregulation or low ambient temperature.

4. Dehydration symptoms: the kitten's skin is dry, loses elasticity, and the oral mucosa is dry, which may be due to insufficient water supply or excessive water loss.

5. Loss of appetite: Little suckling cats are unwilling to suck milk or eat complementary food, which may be due to weak body, underdeveloped digestive system or lactose intolerance.

6. Diarrhea or constipation: Symptoms such as diarrhea and constipation may be caused by indigestion, intestinal infection or other health problems.

7. There are bugs: fleas, mites and other parasites are found on kittens, which may lead to anemia and malnutrition.

8. Abnormal eyes: Young cats have red eyes and increased secretions, which may be eye infections or other health problems.

9. Umbilical cord infection: The kitten's umbilical cord is red, swollen and purulent, which may be caused by umbilical cord infection.

10. Fear and loneliness: The kitten shows fear, tension and loneliness, which may be due to inadaptability to the environment and lack of care and companionship.

If newborn kittens are found to have the above symptoms, measures should be taken in time to rescue them, such as keeping warm, supplementing nutrition, feeding proper amount of pet milk powder and keeping clean. You can seek the help of a veterinarian if necessary.
