According to Buddhist culture, people's spiritual growth can be divided into three periods: willful period, spontaneous period and sexual period.
The first issue is willful. Self-willed people are completely self-centered, only care about their own needs, regardless of other people's feelings, prone to mood swings, chaotic life and work, and messy family and career. They are people who have no skills, but have a big temper and fail.
There are three kinds of wayward people: one is wayward, like a child. There are also willful periods, and they can distinguish right from wrong, but their self-control ability is very weak. The third is the willful period of knowingly committing crimes. This kind of person's selfish desires expand, deliberately exploiting the loopholes of the law and running the red light of life. In fact, no matter how old a person is, if his mind is immature and completely self-centered, he is in a willful period.
The second period is spontaneous. As the Doctrine of the Mean, one of the four books, said, "Self-nature is the Tao, and cultivation is teaching. If you are a Taoist, you can't leave for a moment. Spontaneous people can properly grasp their social roles and how to be parents, children, teachers, students, leaders and subordinates. Do a good job in your social role and take into account your feelings, and have a stable mentality. They can make achievements and attainments in various fields, but they still have troubles in their hearts, and they are capable and troubled people.
In order to go further, going up a flight of stairs will enter the third stage-the sex stage. Be a person with strong ability and no worries.
What is the state of a truly enlightened person? Seeing nothing means seeing the Tao. Color is recognized by thinking, when the body is empty. There is no place to live at any time. "The Inscription of Confidence" said: "If you want to take advantage of it, don't be evil. Six dusts are not evil, but also the same enlightenment. Don't hate and exclude the outside world, in fact, you can be enlightened now. Light a lamp in our hearts, and everything outside can make us enlightened. When we see flowers and hear a certain sound, we can be enlightened, so we say that "six dusts are not evil, but we also share enlightenment." " 」
In fact, money is not the problem, the problem is your greedy heart; Feelings are not a problem, but your persistent feelings. Therefore, there is no fault in all laws. The mistake lies in our confused hearts. When we encounter a situation, we take our fantasies as reality and have all kinds of insatiable thoughts. The wisdom of Zen is to inspire us to get rid of all thoughts and practice not being trapped by them, rather than trying to rule them out.
The Inscription of Confidence was written by Zen Master Sanzu Sencan, and the method described in it is very practical.
We were born to be human. When we meet foreign countries, there will be reactions and emotions in our hearts. What should we do when our ideas come into being? One way is to indulge it. This is an out-and-out ordinary person. There is also a cultured person who will be depressed. I am angry, but I am educated, so I want to suppress it. It's useless, like a thorn in your hand. If you hold it down, it won't hurt at that time, but it hurts more. The third is transfer. I'm so worried. I just don't think about it. It's no use drinking online.
In fact, as long as you are not trapped by your own thoughts, you don't have to rule them out, and practice getting rid of all thoughts, the present is the wisdom of Zen. Don't think Zen is mysterious. You don't know what it is after talking for a long time. It's simple. It is now.
Therefore, the inscription of faith reads: "A wise man does nothing, but a fool binds himself." "Fools often make their own cocoon." Buddhism is no different from Buddhism. You love yourself. Isn't it a big mistake to do it with your heart Confused and confused, enlightened without likes and dislikes. There are various kinds of ecstasy: achievement, liberation, nirvana, life and death, and trouble. "Chaos leads to chaos, and enlightenment leads to no likes and dislikes": it means that when enlightenment is realized, all laws are equal, absolutely equal, and there is no likes and dislikes. "Dream empty China, He Lao caught. Gain and loss, let go for the time being. " The Inscription of Confidence is short, but incisive, and we will constantly understand the wisdom of Zen through it.
Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor, also said, "If you don't give up, you will become a Buddha. There is samsara when there is a trade-off, so there is no problem with the external environment itself, because persistence becomes an obstacle. Not giving up does not mean that there is no choice in external behavior, but that there is no choice in the heart.
It can be seen that understanding the wisdom of Zen can really open a happy door and window for our mood. A philosopher said: "The main purpose of religion is not to let people enter heaven, but to let heaven enter people's hearts and let heaven enter our hearts." Our hearts are very happy, very happy, very free and comfortable, and this happy and carefree state is heaven.
So, how can the wisdom of Zen help us relieve psychological pressure?
As long as all kinds of relationships are handled well, there will be no pressure, and all psychological pressures can be resolved, that is, the relationship between man and himself, man and family, man and society, and man and nature. Everything can be summed up in the relationship between these four levels.
How to deal with the relationship between good people and self-mind?
Buddha said: when a person begins to know how to live a spiritual life, he is very close to the Tao; When a person is still addicted to material life, he is still far from Tao. So turn around from the troubled world and look at your heart. We look at the word consciousness: consciousness is learning, and here is what we see; Enlightenment is standing beside my heart and my heart. Learning to see your heart clearly is enlightenment.
"The Sun Sutra" said: "Tommy's whole theoretical basis is to know the truth from the heart. Each of us should become an inner quantum physicist and open our inner infinite heart containing the reality of the universe. This is enlightenment. Therefore, to deal with the relationship between good people and self-mind, we should always stay awake and alert. At any time, we can really wake up with an awakened mind: it is not the hardships and pressures of life that make us unhappy, nor our spouses and bosses, nor our children that make us unhappy, but our own prejudices, fears and responses to the greedy habits of life that make us unhappy.
We are always caught in those inertial movements and in the inherent, narrow and limited thinking mode we are used to, so we have obstacles, unhappiness and troubles. So it's not the external things that make us unhappy, but the inner prejudice of ordinary people that makes us unhappy. Therefore, there is no need to seek truth, just need to see it.
The three steps to a happy life are: 1. Accept the reality. Second, look at yourself. Third, make different responses and be compassionate.
Make a different reaction than before. For example, if someone scolds me, I will be angry. Another example is that this dish is delicious and I am greedy. How can I react differently and be compassionate? The way to practice is in four words: some initiates may know about the tea ceremony, and there are thousands of people in it. That is, the tea ceremony is harmonious, respectful, clean and quiet.
