Is it reasonable to wear masks above N95 on public transport in Dalian?

Unreasonable, because it is mandatory, the state has relevant notices, and ordinary residents can only be advised to wear advanced masks.

On August 29th, a man got off the bus without wearing a N95 mask and went on a hot search. This incident occurred in Dalian, Liaoning Province, and originated from the Notice on Adjusting the Operation of Urban Public Transport during the Epidemic Period issued by the relevant transportation departments in Dalian. According to the notice, in order to cooperate with the implementation of Order No.23 issued by the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control department, it is stipulated that from 0: 00 on August 29 to 24: 00 on August 3 1 day.

Staff and passengers are also required to wear masks above N95, and those who fail to comply will be investigated for legal responsibility.

Boy, the next day, a citizen was recruited. On August 29th, a man took a bus and wore a surgical mask instead of N95. He was scolded by some passengers in the car and told to get off. Finally, he was taken away by a police car.

Actually, Dalian, which is required to wear N95, is not the first one. Changchun had a notice in July that N95 masks must be worn when taking rail transit. Prior to this, couriers in Beijing and JD.COM were investigated for not wearing N95 masks.

Although the starting point of Dalian's practice this time is good, it is stipulated according to the specific situation, because the epidemic situation in Dalian has been unstable recently, and many asymptomatic infected people have been added in the last week.

But personally, I think it's still a little too popular. Think about it. What masks did we wear when the epidemic broke out? Even ordinary medical surgical masks have played a very good role in epidemic prevention. At that time, we knew that only those medical staff would be equipped with masks of N95 and above.

Even in the current situation, such as a large-scale outbreak of the epidemic in Hainan some time ago, N95 was not forced to wear.

You can read the notice, that is, two days. How effective will it be to force you to wear advanced masks these two days? Moreover, the practice in countless cities has proved that epidemic prevention measures such as normalized nucleic acid are effective methods, which can quickly find and control the epidemic situation.

Now that the price of masks in Dalian has increased, it is no wonder that everyone is well-known.

Therefore, I personally feel that such measures are really unreasonable.

Of course, the above is my subjective view. If there are objective reasons, of course there are.

On August 9th, 20021,the relevant institutions in the State Council issued a notice on wearing masks, which was named "Notice on Printing and Distributing the Guidelines for Wearing Masks for the Public and Key Occupational Groups" (August edition, 20021). The circular details the requirements for the public and key occupational groups to wear masks.

The notice didn't ask the general public to wear N95 masks at all, but suggested to wear high-grade masks, and the scenes that asked the general public to wear masks were mainly to enter crowded indoor places such as shopping malls and supermarkets. Take public transport such as subway and bus; In crowded outdoor places; When seeing a doctor in a hospital or accompanying a doctor for a health examination; When related discomfort symptoms appear; In restaurants, canteens and other non-dining state.

The people who are required to wear masks in the Notice are key occupational groups, mainly including high-risk posts involving overseas import and pollution transmission, staff of medical institutions and service personnel in public places.

It is really unreasonable to force ordinary people to wear high-level masks based on personal subjective opinions and official notices.

Of course, we all know that the original intention of this notice in Dalian is definitely to reduce the risk of the epidemic. After all, the epidemic continues, and we can't relax. We often see outbreaks in some places, and everyone is very scared, so we should try our best to do it.

But should we pay attention to reality and respect science according to the actual situation? what do you think?
