Blowing the dragon's head is also a part of traditional festivals, where you can pray for blessings, and more importantly, it is a wish to love your feelings and life. The second day of February is also the birthday of the land. The landowner, also known as Ford Shen Zheng, is a god deeply loved by people from all walks of life. In the south, when the dragon rises on February 2, it still follows the custom of offering sacrifices to the society, and the land god is generally worshipped in the south. In some places, land meetings are held on this day, and farmers collect money to celebrate the birthday of the land god, burn incense and sacrifice in the land temple, bang gongs and drums and set off firecrackers to wish the land god a good harvest. On this day, I also went to the Earth Temple to burn incense and sacrifice. More is that different regions have different sacrifices to gods.

The traditional customs of February 2 nd

In addition to blowing the dragon's head to pray for happiness, it also brings a traditional festive atmosphere, and the Dragon Head Festival is also one of the activities. In February of the lunar calendar, the weather gets warmer and all kinds of insects start to stir. Some insects are harmful to people's health, so on February 2, people spread pancakes and burn incense in succession, hoping to drive away poisonous insects with smoke. The faucet section hits the beams with wooden sticks or bamboo poles to scare away poisonous insects such as snakes and scorpions, so as not to cause harm. In some places, it is popular to knock on the edge of the kang for the same purpose as knocking on the beam. They are all used to drive away poisonous insects, hoping for safety and health.

In addition, there are activities to preserve customs, such as rushing to work, trial farming, frying scorpion beans, wearing grass, offering sacrifices to the dragon king, respecting the land and grain, marrying women to live in the spring, and writing by boys. Buyi people will hold a three-day festival on February 2, mainly to worship the land god.
