The Japanese BK117 helicopter's on-board equipment is a basic package of instruments used by a single pilot to visually visualize the flight rules, including an airspeed indicator with electrically heated pitot tube and static pressure orifice, a barometric altimeter, an attitude indicator, a turn and tilt indicator, a vertical speed indicator, a gyro-magnetic heading system, a magnetic compass, and a clock.
Options available for Kawasaki Heavy Industries' BK117 include a 10-centimeter autonomous gyro level with inclinometer, 7.6-centimeter spare artificial level and horizontal position indicator. Compound maneuvers and compound visual flight instruments can be fitted as an option. Communication/navigation and other electronic equipment can be fitted as per buyer's request.
