The healthy breeding of livestock and poultry is a systematic project with safety, high quality, high efficiency and no pollution as its main connotation, and the use of contemporary advanced animal husbandry and veterinary science and technology to establish a modern breeding industry with harmonious development of quantity, quality, benefit and ecology, and realize perfect infrastructure, scientific management, resource conservation, environmental friendliness and high unity of economic, ecological and social benefits. Some scholars also believe that healthy farming is a comprehensive farming technology that applies the basic principles of natural science to effectively control a specific farming system, maintain a virtuous cycle of material and energy flow inside and outside the system, ensure the normal growth of the cultured objects, and meet human needs. In a word, healthy farming involves ecology (including environmental ecology, animal microecology), animal nutrition, environmental science, system science and so on. Its essence is to be responsible for the health of animals and human beings, which means that healthy farming will eventually provide safe and healthy nutritious food for human beings.
