Nevus and health

I don't know if you have such troubles and want a white and flawless skin. However, there are always a few moles on my body and face. I want to get rid of them, but I am afraid that casually removing them will affect my health. Even your family will warn you not to get rid of them with so-called face and fortune.

In fact, the discussion about moles has never stopped, and some bad moles may become cancerous. Some moles are also signals of specific diseases, such as spider moles. Some people even say that people with more moles live longer. Is there any scientific basis?

Do people with many moles live longer?

Before discussing this point, let's look at what the mole belongs to. In medicine, we also call nevus nevus or melanocyte nevus. Mole is actually a manifestation of the increase of melanocytes in epidermis and dermis of our skin.

The saying that people with more moles live longer began with a study. A previous study found that the number of moles in the human body is related to the telomere length at the end of chromosomes in our body. People with many moles have long telomeres and long life expectancy.

This statement seems to be so, but it is not comprehensive. There are many factors that affect the length of our telomeres. Once the terminal granulocyte degenerates due to some factors, even if you have a face on your mole, you may not have much health and longevity.

Be careful of these moles.

Although more or less moles will not have any direct impact on our life span, you should be more careful if your moles have the following symptoms.

1, a mole that grows in a place where it will be rubbed frequently.

More than 90% of our moles will not become cancerous. However, if it grows in some places that are often rubbed, such as palms, soles of feet, places where belts are tied around the waist, and places where bras are worn, it is best to remove it, because these places are often rubbed, which is easy to irritate moles and cause cancer in the long run.

2, asymmetric, unclear mole

The benign nevus on our body is basically symmetrical, and the edge is very clear. If you suddenly find moles with asymmetrical shapes and blurred edges, you must be more careful. It is best to go to the hospital to check whether there is a risk of cancer.

3, the surface uplift mole

Most of our moles are smooth, and only a few will bulge. When I was a child, my family would tell you that this is called "meat mole". These suddenly raised moles are probably tumors of early melanoma.

Although not all raised moles are related to melanoma, it is better to pay more attention to sudden raised moles.

4. Excess moles

If the mole on your body starts to grow bigger and bigger, or suddenly you find that the new mole is getting bigger and bigger, then you should be careful. The bigger the mole, the higher the risk of cancer. If the size of your mole exceeds 0.6 cm, then you should pay attention.

From birth to old age, the generation of moles is a normal phenomenon. This is also closely related to the melanocytes in our body. Usually pay more attention to the pigmented nevus that comes out of your body. Once it is found that its color, size, shape and uplift degree are different, it is best to go to the hospital as soon as possible for relevant examination to rule out the possibility of malignant transformation.
